If you did, you will know where Wii U will end up without that fame.

they dont do well because of the demographic nintendo consoles sell to. lets be honest with our selfs and not joke aruond here, nintendo consoles mostly sell to kids, i dont see why people would take offense of that here but that is the reality. if you were going to buy a console for your kid what would you buy? a nintendo one. are there adults who buy nintendo consoles and enjoy them? yes, but they are a small niche. so when 3rd parties release games targeted at adults they just wont appeal to younger gamers who like games like mario. nintendo knows this, see their adds they always try to have the family having image (look at the recent Need for speed add). and the way they make their games they make it to appeal to kids. the animations, sound, humor and a lot of other stuff is created for kids to like. so parents buy nintendo for their kids, and their kids certainly wont be interested in metal gear or dead space. 

Currently the gap between the Xbox360 and the Wii is about 200Mil SW or about 20%. The Nextbox will probably release before 2014. Do you expect the Xbox360 to sell over 200Mil SW this year? I honestly don't. A race is over once all contestants have finished the line, this is where it counts.

Nintendo keep changing for the better, can u imagin playing Zelda after Zelda after Zelda with the same controller? Alot of people dont realise that Sony and MS pretty much offer the same thing over and over again, how many casual gamers will buy a PS4/720 after they already purchased a PS3 for The Last of Us and Beyond? Theres not much difference in terms of gameplay and most people will buy a PS4 once it gets cheaper, so look at the PS4/720 selling good in acouple years, Just like WiiU except that WiiU would have that headstart.

Plus also note WiiU is selling units without any serious software of there own. So in my eyes i believe WiiU and Nintendo are on the right track again.

Maybe you're right, maybe it's mostly kids that play the system - but what about their dads? Do they go out and by a PS360? If Nintendo made a console that got each and every multiplat game as Sony and MS got, wouldn't it make more sense to simply have one console for the kids and for dad?
