I highly doubt 30k, and I never disagree with this site. I just know too many people that bought it. I know it is anecdotal, but these aren't even people who normal buy things on week one. I just don't see it selling that low, even though I know 30k is good for a suda game.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

To be fair to Ubi, they launched this game two weeks earlier than originally planned. They moved the release date for fear NMH would be crushed under SSBB, then Nintendo announced another Brawl delay. It could be that the early launch messed with their supply chain and resulted in short supply at launch.

It's a calculated risk, but a poorly supplied launch is quite possibly preferable to launching against the biggest Wii game of the year. I bet somebody at Ubi was swearing particularly loudly when Nintendo delayed SSBB to March.

Actually, that's funny because it isn't just Ubisoft.

  1. The marketing underestimated this game but to be fair everyone else did too.
  2. I know people love to bitch about Gamestop and preorders but that is an excellent way to guage how popular a game is.  Preordering a game like Halo 3 isn't going to do a lot because they already know it will sell oodles but preording a game like this actually helps everyone involved.

very nice. even if they did not provide many copies, if the copies are sold out, that means the game more than fulfilled their expectations.

@Sherlock: Suda said there would be a sequel shortly before the first one launched.

Perhaps this explains why not a single store near me has gotten the damn game yet?
See he said it but the ending of the game was weird. It simultaniously made me confident that there will be one but at the same time worried me.. I'm pretty sure if this is one of his better selling games he'll explorethe area of Santa Destroy more but I'm not sure if it'll be the same basic story..

i thought no more hereos was a capcom game. well was i wrong lol

it's not even a Ubisoft game, they just published it in North America. The game is actually made by Grasshopper Manufacturers.

yer i know grasshopper developed it, but i thought they were a smaller studio owned by capcom.
