I played Mass Effect 2 first on PS3, then Mass Effect 1 on PC. Might get it for PS3 if it is on PSN (didn't know, thought it was only part of the trilogy set). Give me a chance to go through the game again at least, with higher specs than my PC could handle.

Although got kind of annoyed when trying to do the 'worst' ending in Mass Effect 3 with my character that is crap. He got all but 2 characters killed in Mass Effect 2 and then I didn't do any extra mission in ME3 to get a low military readiness but for some reason when it came to the 'choices' at the end I got really pissed off I was only given the option of Control, because I made the wrong choice in Mass Effect 2. I only know this because I had to look it up. 


The military readiness missions are pretty fun if you have friends. If you want to do it with me you can. I need all the partners I can get when I start part 3. I suggest we start a ME3 clan to get our readyiness up to 100%!

I did it on purpose. I have 4 characters, the one I used first before knowing the game so made decisions as I went (my character), an all good guy, all evil (perfect game) and a useless idiot, who did nothing but get people killed and make the wrong choices. I had to wait a long time to finish the last one's play through as my readiness was 100% from the Good and Evil playthroughs, so had to wait to get it down.

If ME1 is $15 on US PSN, probably £10 on UK PSN, well worth it.


Hell yeah its worth it. 40 hours of gameplay for $15 or less? So many memorable moments in that game. I can't wait to play ME3 to the finish, it felt like I was playing Mass Gear of War Effect 3. It felt like I was being dragged in a specific direction instead of choosing myself.

Funny that you mention that example. The decision you make with him does not carry over the second game (That thing was glitched for no apparent reason). Actually, the decision you took in the first Mass Effect carries over the third one.

 

Other than that, agreed with almost everything. I only played the first Mass Effect, though xD

I have to finish ME3. We'll see how I feel about that because I haven't finished it yet. I am going to finish them all on hard. ME3 seems more linear so I have breeze through more playthroughs of that with the comic book.

If you haven't played part 3 its dirt cheap now am I am going to need partners for the readyness missions online.

Definitely, one of my favorite franchises ever. The trilogy was a must for me. What made you like ME3 more though? it lacked the RPG elements but it was more multiplayer/Gears of War-esque with a more linear story and Mass Effect powers sprinkled ontop. Was that why?

The thing is up til the last 5 minutes of ME3 i feel it was easily the best of the 3 but since many people liked the last 5 minutes people want to discredit the game.  Similar to what people do to games and movies that had a great ending yet everything before that was just ok.

If they can top Mass Effect next gen I dunno how they'll approach it. That will be tough because the backlash lead to the heads of Bioware retiring early. I think they'll use prequels like the books. Andersons storyline with Saren would be cool.

mass effect 2 had the best DLC , shadow broke have one of the best mission in the series.

the me2 final mission is amazing ( sad they didnt implemented something like this on the third >.>

and you spend most of the game recruting the most badass characters in the galaxy.

people say the ending was bad but i dont remember a game where i spend so much time finding answers about an ending, people making theorys etc.

Cant wait to play the new one they are making.

Definitely, two was the most Epic out of all of them.

Nothing like Gears? The over the back camera feeling like the camera is right behind your back with the Gears of War melee and firing style the tight open to tight areas. I liked what I played, and yes Gears is one of my favorite franchises this gen as well, but I think the influence made it more of a multiplayer friendly game with the horde mode and all (which I am trying to get ready to start a group). It felt like your decisions had very little weight in the game when I played it, but I must finish it so we'll see.

Thanks for the input and I lowered my expectations just a tad until I can get all of the DLC and start part three all over again. Can't wait!

1 Is easily my favorite but 2 was really good as well. Hell even 3 was pretty damn good as well. But i have to give the edge to 1. It was the first RPG in a LONG TIME that actually had me wanting to replay it over and over again (to get full renegade/paragon and also find all the conversations and complete all the side quests. Not to mention trying to find/buy the Colossus 10 Armor (AKA the best armor in the game) was time consuming to say the least. Weapon upgrades were also pretty cool and unfortunately removed from the later entries
