Being on ND didn't stop it reaching a larger audience though, and there are non-Nintendo fans who are interested in games like X, which was an ND unveiling.

Lol. Yeah, no one will say anything negative about Nintendo, they will simply not speak of them... at all.
Nintendo needs to hear of the expression ''go big or go home''. Sony and M$ will certainly go big. Meanwhile Nintendo seem to never go big these days, they always seem to think that the bare minimum is enough. While Sony and M$ fans will have the loud music, the huge screens, the applauds and the trailers followed by ''wows'' from houndreds of ppl, Nintendo will get crickets.

I hope they wow us with Bayonetta because if not....oh what a waste of buzz. E3 would've been a great place to show it too.
I think Nintendo has given up on the old and will focus on USA lol.
The proof is right here in AUS, main stream 3DS games are all sold out and no new stock on horizon. Some of these games only had enough to fill preorders.
Games like:
Castlevania
Luigi's mansion 2
Mh3
Fire Emblem
Not to mention Wii U is nothing but cancellations here atm lol.

I agree, E3 would have been great for showing off all Nintendo's hushed-up titles like Bayo 2, X, 3D Mario, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Yarn Yoshi, Retro's project, etc.
So basically they mean showing the games to press and attendants > showing the games to everyone in the world. hmmm...
This is going to hurt more than it helps
Is Nintendo losing confidence or something?
Hmm

I think this is good. They mentioned that gamers really don't care about statistics and the like, but rather they care about games. The way they present content in Nintendo Directs is much better than anything they have done at E3 in a while. I will take a few ND's rather than an E3 that is peppered with PR speak. I may be the only one, but I'm very happy.
