Forums - Microsoft - Next Xbox Reveal Set For May 21

Finally the Micro field will have the revealing of their console.

I wonder if they will also publish the NextBox spec details like Sony did with PS4. I will ask you guys about it because I won't be seeing the reveal, if it is at all available for watching.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

These reveals have generated more excitement than most things I've experienced in the last 8 years.

I could make a sex joke...but I won't

You'd have to be getting some to make any jokes to begin with. ;)

that escalated quickly

Also the internet has proven that statement false because I'm pretty sure the 4 year olds on Youtube insulting me haven't had any lol

Excitement level is through the roof. I'm much more excited for the next Xbox announcement than the PS4 announcement.

LOL....like your name didn't give that fact away.

360 in my name but I like both the Xbox and Playstation I'm not limited to just one console lol.

I want to see their games, everything else can wait. Microsoft is only giving themselves a two week window to gain buzz until E3 and that could be either good or bad.

I thought the invitation said this was to show an overview of the future of gaming entertainment and TV while E3 was where they'll show most of the games?  I could have read that wrong on IGN though.

If I was Microsoft I would've shown the entertainment features at least a week ago and yes left it to E3 to show the games. They are waiting so long its looking like the PS4 really had them back reeling for ideas. I hope they kill it, despite what people think of me I've always hoped Microsoft kills it. Sad part is they don't, but its a new gen.

As I mentioned in a previous thread, the ms employees I have spoken to all felt Sony dropped the ball, something I actually disagree with.  However their reason for thinking this way apparently has to do with the lack of forward thinking Sony has put into the ps4.  Apparently, cloud gaming wasn't enough.

My guess is ms is going to be pushing the 3d environment a lot more than people are expecting and they feel that is the future.  Personally, I like where Sony is headed with the ps4 and it's game centered focus.

Sony has always been more game focused than their competition. I really think you need to keep watching what Sony is doing, because Sony never shows all their guns. In fact Sony wanted Microsoft to show what they had first so they could immediately respond to them. The unveiling is only showing half of what Sony truly has to offer. Be ready for more because the show was very balanced between entertainment and games. Can't wait for Microsofts show and I can't wait for E3 to see what both have to offer. Dont be fooled into thinking Sony showed all of their guns at their unveiling.

The PS4 reveal felt very iterative to me.  If the NeXbox reveal is the same, I'm going to be pretty lukewarm on this gen initially.  If what you stated about the employees is actual (sorry, but there is too much junk flying around), then that would be more of what I'm hoping for.

It will be that... and more. Kinect was a family based device and it has sold over 20 million and don't even get started on the Wii....

That crowd will not be as strong next gen but their presence shouldn't be under estimated. Even gamers should enjoy the multimedia functions like people have this gen and it is still growing.

I've never agreed more with any of your statements, but I think its time I gave in. brilliant at the bold. Microsoft wants the family and the couch and they are making that really clear.
