If you don't care about Sony's first party offerings and ready to invest more than the presumably 400-500$ that PS4 will launch at then probably yes.

Yes and no. I dont wanna pay 1000 $ for PC but also I dont wanna get console with 2 exclusives per year, moreover with shitty graphics. I was excited about PS4 but now I understand what will happen.

Sony 1st party are the best of the rest - but howamy studios Sony get ? ND, SSM, QD. Polyphony will launch Gt7 in 2016. Rest, like Sony Japan et are inferior tier for me. Console without exclusives are empty pack of iron - look at PS Vita. So fckin awesome hardware and nothing to do with it.

Well i think Sony has already build up quite a good few studios with the PS3 already, But i have been reading a lot about MS building up their studios with some sick talent and a lot of them studios have not worked on anything X360 related so i assume what they are working on will be for nextgen .

I just cant wait to see what 343i will do with the Xbox8 since Halo 4 looked so good on the 360

But im happy as a PC gamer for Nextgen as it means the isnt really any reason for them 3rd party devs (Unless they get money from Ms/Sony) not to port to the PC now , Great time to be a PC gamer imo

We can only hope the new MS studios will create amazing Xbox exclusives, and also Sony 1st party have some hidden projects for PS4. But 3- 4 studios will not create 20 games, for sure.

Btw saying ,, great time to be a PC gamer " half year before next gen launch perfectly shows what the situation really is. The big winner here are PC gamers.

U help me a lot, thanks.

Sony has more the 3-4 first party studios they have 13 actually and they are all reportedly working on a ps4 game. As seen here:

All thirteen of Sony’s Worldwide Studios are working on PlayStation 4 titles, studio boss Shuhei Yoshida has said.

Asked by IGN if it would be “fair to say” all first-party studios are working on PlayStation 4 titles, Yoshida responded: “Is it fair or not fair? It is fair to say.”

You’ll find all thirteen of Sony’s studios listed below. Currently, only four have announced PlayStation 4 projects.

Studios: Europe

  • Guerrilla Games: Over 160 staff. Known for the Killzone series. Currently developing Killzone: Shadow Fall for PlayStation 4.
  • Guerrilla Cambridge: Known for the MediEvil series and the upcoming Killzone: Mercenary for PlayStation Vita.
  • Evolution Studios: Known for the MotorStorm series. Currently developing Driveclub for PlayStation 4.
  • London Studio: Known for the SingStar and Eye (EyeToyEyePet) series, and the studio behind PlayStation 3′s canceled Eight Days andThe Getaway.
  • Media Molecule: Known for the LittleBigPlanet series and the upcoming Tearaway for PlayStation Vita.

Studios: Japan

  • Japan Studio: Over 400 staff. Known for titles like IcoShadow of the ColossusSirenDemon’s Souls, and White Knight Chronicles. Currently developing Knack (and possibly The Last Guardian) for PlayStation 4.
  • Polyphony Digital: Known for the Gran Turismo series.

Studios: USA

  • Bend Studio: Known for the Syphon Filter series and Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PS Vita.
  • Foster City Studio:  A co-developer across various Sony franchises.
  • Naughty Dog: Two-team studio. Known for the Uncharted and Jakseries, and the upcoming The Last of Us for PlayStation 3.
  • San Diego Studio: Known for the MLB: The Show series.
  • Santa Monica Studio: Known for the God of War series.
  • Sucker Punch: Known for the Sly Cooper and inFAMOUS series. Currently developing inFAMOUS: Second Son for PlayStation 4.

Sorry for the crap before the studio names.

This list not even mention Quantic Dream.

In other hand - many good PS3 games were making by 2nd and 3rd party - and its all goin multiplat.
U are not helping.

That's because they are not first party.  Those are first party studios who are all making ps4 games and a few of them have two teams.

You're going to extremes, over-generalising or are ignorant.

If you don't want to pay 1000$ for a PC then don't count for over the top graphic results from your PC, it definately won't be like night and day compared to the PS4.

Second statement - saying that PS4 will have 2 exclusives per year is simply ignorant buddy, maybe 2 "AAA" exclusives yes, but overall definately more then that and "moreover with shitty graphics" - come on are you serious? Have you seen PS4 games footage? Saying it will have shitty graphics is just stupid, especially since you claimed earlier that because PS360 have so much different architecture they could come with games with amazing graphics like Halo 4, TLoU and Beyond:TS

You asked about Sony first party studios - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SCE_Worldwide_Studios here you are. Mind you - some of the studios have more then one team at disposal - Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Evolution Studios to name a few that are on top of my head so they can develop aproximately double the amount of games. Plus there still are some sort of "2nd party" Quantic Dream that you mentioned, or Insomniac (we may see them back under Sony's wings after the inevitable Fuse fiasco) and many projects that are outsourced to 3rd party studios that are exclusive to Sony platforms.

In your earlier posts you seem to think that PS3 was better with exotic architecture because it therefore provided exclusives over PC due to architecture differences. I say it's bollocks since this gen especially we had way less 3rd party exclusives then before, most due to the fact that development costs are raising and the was no dominating platform (not caounting Wii, since it didn't help it gain 3rd party support) but PS3 especially in it's early days suffered from it's difficult architecture with underperforming ports or being ditched altogether by PC focused or experienced studios. With the PS4 we can be sure that both of those problems will be no more if PS4 goes with a smooth start sales-wise.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

I know this are offtop, but can someone give me link to FF XIV a Real Reborn thread ? I get some info.

For efkac and rest - OK , Ok we will see. We can hope they will not screw it. And yes - console exclusives are pretty awesome. Cant wait to PS3/PS4 exclusives. Just hope there will be many of them.

Think about the alternative. We get two powerful consoles that can last 6-8 years in a good shape, the architecture is totally different from PC and each other, so making ports is pure hell. What is the result? More good exclusives? NO! The results are:

- the consoles cost $600-800 and are still sold at a loss. Nobody is buying them anyway, the adoption rate makes Vita and Wii U look awesome, Sony is on the verge of going bust;

- the devs know that the games have a very limited market, so their budget is much lower than it would be if the game was multiplat or was very easy and cheap to port;

- as a result we get worse games, especially from the graphical point of view, cause the devs just can't afford to max the consoles, since they would need seperate teams to max different platforms and we already said that the budget it much smaller - the exception would be just a few 1st party games, but the overall level would be lower;

- obviously, one platform is chosen as the primary one and gamers on the other one always get a crappy port instead of a game of the same quality, since it's so hard to port;

- more and more games never get released on PC, since porting is hard and expensive and due to piracy the risk is too big;

Remember, X360 is close to PC and what is the result? Multiplats play better on it than on a more powerful PS3! That's the only result of PS3 having its freaky architecture. PS4 = X720 = PC is only going to be good for us, cause it will be easier for the devs to sell their games, so it will be easier to profit, hence they will be able to spend more on games and make them better. Moreover, the consoles will be cheaper, cause there will be no freaking Cell that cost an arm and a leg to be developed. The number of exclusives will remain the same - only 1st and 2nd party studios, as it should be. I really have no problem with people on other consoles playing the same game I'm playing, if anything I'm angry that my PS3 plays them worse than X360. I'd even like PS4 and X720 players to be able to play in multi together, though I know it's impossible.

To sum up - there sure is a reason to cry, b!tch and moan about. The alternative would be so awesome! Everyone would be much happier! Right?

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
