So Manchester United is like the Yankees.

Man United, Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal all have wage bills ranging from £150-200 Million per year and all 4 usually fight for the 4 Champions League places, with Spurs, Everton and Liverpool generally fighting over the scraps

Last Season, the team that finished 8th had a wage bill of £~130 Million.

Manchester United - 20 League Titles
Liverpool - 18 League Titles
Arsenal - 13 League Titles

Sir Alex Ferguson - 13 League Titles
Ryan Giggs - 13 League Titles
Paul Scholes - 11 League Titles

Says it all...

Is there a salary cap in English premier league?

Nope. The Premier League is nicknamed the "greedy league" for a reason.

Some players get payed 50-100k a week to be bench warmers... The team that finishes last in the league gets £60 Million in parachute payments.

Wayne Rooney gets £1,000,000.00 a month loool crazy I know

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

yoshi woolly world

Now all United needs is to overtake Liverpool in the Champions League and they'll undoubtedly be the top English team.

Was never really in doubt.

Think it would have been a bigger achievement to go further in the Champs League.

Ferguson should manage to get a nice lead on team #2 before he retires. I don't see Liverpool getting a title anytime soon so ManU will probably hold the most titles for a loooong while.

Yeah, it's all about extending the lead now. Incredible to think that when he joined United they had 7 league titles to their name, now they're sitting pretty with 20.

Gratz @ ManU, deserved!

The bigger news: Goetze going to Bayern next year...

There should be, Man Utd are riddled with debt as are most top English clubs

TBH the premier league doesnt interest me, it is becoming in danger of being like the Scottish league where apart from the top couple of teams there is zero competition. The football league championship is where the excitement is, most of the teams are evenly matched and anybody can beat anybody on the day.
Plus with being a Derby County fan i can safely say they will never win the Premier league ever. But we do hold a premier league record though ;)

lol I think the only reason you find it boring is because you're team isn't in it
