That works for me because, as badly as I want a PS4, this is the first time since 2000 I'm not picking a console up at launch. I bought a PS3 at launch, waited a little over a year before losing patience and trading it for a 360. I spent this entire gen regretting it while watching the PS3 slowly crush the 360's library and wishing I had Sony's console instead. Then, last month, I came across the Infamous bundle (Uncharted 1,2 along with Infamous 1,2) for $199.99 and decided to go for it. My plan is to play all this gens games I missed out on well into next year, THEN pick up a PS4 when the library is better.
So as far as I'm concerned? This is awesome news. A new FF game, new GT, new GTA...plus a billion old games that are new to ME? I'm good lol
And there goes PS4's killer app.
I hope they didn't do this just so it wouldn't kill Drive Club.
GT1 and GT2 = PS1
GT3 and GT4 = PS2
GT5 and GT6 = PS3
It only makes sense. =P

I loved the comments...
Day one... I'll get... Cool...
Seems like just a few care about PS3 or PS4... everybody wants GT6.
I was just worrying now...
This E3 with PS4 + PS4 METAGOM + GT6 for PS3 will be THE BEST E3 EVER!!!

If Sony is smart they will announce GT6 before E3. At E3 it could really do some damage to PS4 by announcing a PS3 megaton. In addition it would be really awkward showing gameplay too close to driveclub because even you know the vizuals will be "lacking" in comparison.

Yeap but his point it valid... GT4 was released in 2006 (late 2005 in Japan) just when the PS3 was about to be launched. |
And look how great that PS3 launch went. Also, that was at the time when Playstation was practicly invincible, compared to now, where we are at the end of a gen that Sony lost (In comparison to the past, the two others have increased imensely, PS have dropped).
