This is the news I have been waiting for!
The original broke new ground in speed and showed what Mode 7 technology could do....
The N64 version blew everyone away with 60fps and 30 vehicles on screen at once and flew along....
NGC F-Zero GX gave the fans beautiful graphics and SEGA showed they understood F-Zero by creating the
fastest version yet and plenty of combat with a pumping techno soundtrack...
All great games!
Now Wii U is set to raise the bar again - 30 player online cups please!!!!! 1080p 60fps yessir!
Wipeout???? Never heard of it!

They're almost certainly talking about FAST Racing League 2. Over the last few years Shin'en have been making sequels to all their other Wiiware efforts, such as Jett Rocket, Fun Fun Minigolf, and Art of Balance. FAST is next in line.

I actually wouldn't want Shin'en making a new F-Zero game. They're technical wizards, but their gameplay tends to be in the average to decent range, and F-Zero is a series that (on consoles at least, hven't played the portables) holds a higher standard than that.
F Zero, F Zero X, and F Zero GX were all among the top games on their respective consoles, and among the best racing games of their generations.

Whoa there, it'll be good but Nintendo doesn't strive to blow people away with technology. Just be happy if it comes, I know I will.

I definitely hope we see a new F-Zero game, if only to safeguard THE1's sanity.

Shin'en seems like a strange choice, only because the size and scope of its games seem out of line with a series like F-Zero. But who knows, maybe this is the company's big break.

I've never played FAST - Racing League. Is it good?

personally id love to see a revamped ken griffy jr baseball (since they showed baseball asymmetric play demos in the past). One of the best baseball games ever created, was miles ahead of anything EA ever did.

Wait, are you talking about Major League Baseball Featuring Ken Griffey, Jr.? For the N64?

I LOVE that game.

For what it was (a $10 downloadable game) it was fun.

Ken Griffey baseball was sick on the SNES, I dunno about the N64.

Shin'en doing the engine perhaps with Nintendo at the helm for gameplay. I could live with that and it fits in with their working with other studios theme. I don't believe Shin'en could handle this alone.

Edit: Judging from the phrasing in the OP and having now looked at that trailer, I think it's far more likely they are talking about a sequel to that game, but who knows.

Its impossible not to like Nintendo when they give fans what they ask for.

Wish more companies would do that. It would be a much better gaming world if they did.
