Loosing exclusivity didn't make it a bad game, but what the arguement is is that the extra development costs to place it on both consoles reduced the goals and quality of the title. It really did seem like they only made half a Final Fantasy game, but that could easily be attributed by their ambition in voice acting and cinematic dialogue, so much that they destoryed the JRPG format they needed. I doubt it is the 360's fault, they managed to compress files in order to acheive that, the PS3 version was the better of the two. If anything it is the increased cost of development that destroyed this game's potential. Maybe they didn't have enough money, maybe they spent it wrong, maybe they didn't have enough staff to work on a multiplat. All I care about is that the game was very dissapointing.



Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Given how the series pretty much plummeted in quality this gen......people still care?

Or is this just about PS fans caring because its another exclusive to add to their lists?



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

OT: We'll  have to wait and see, I'm still waiting for a proper FF for this gen, will pick it up for the PS3 tho.

I like this scenario !

Will buy & play on the PS3 the first time and then on the PS4 on the second run.

FF XIII's whole outlook and concept had nothing to do with being ported to the Xbox since that was a lst minute desission as we know. Toriyama and Kitase wanted to appeal to westerners in the first place. (with a more action oriented gameplay and stereotypical characters; blonde hero, black guy for the ride)

This is bullcrap, FF13 had half its content cut/not ready on time cos it was taking them too long to develope the game thanks to the PS3 being so hard to develope for thats why they switched to the 360 also and figured they could just Make FF13-2 that was an SE choice not an MS one Maybe if it was exclusive to the 360 from the start it would of been finished much faster and of been a better game, Why do you think MistWalker was able to Make a "Real FF" game Lost Odysee that had everything that FF13 should of had and was finished in a smaller amount of time and was exclusive to the X360??.


lol a better and finished version of the game was ready for production 12 months early for PS3... the game was delayed, cut and downgraded just because the 360 port. Please don't put the time for developer the game into PS3 because the game was finished a year early for it.

there will be one FF game announcement at E3 that guy showing the agnes demo said it when sony was showing the ps4 so it will probably be a sony exclusive.

Since how the "quality plummeted" is sorely based on a stuborn internet consensus rather than actual sales or reviews, are you asking because a ridiculously hyped game is not on the Xbox ?

Internet consencus and reviews kinda showed a downward trend. Sales is due to marketing and the fanbase being COD in nature (yes I said it. Will buy just for the name alone).
