I used to like the look of the PS3 fat, but I think it looks dated now. At my local Book Off there is a lineup of used systems in a glass cabinet and there is one black and one silver fat that have been sitting there forever. Next to a bunch of slims and superslims, I don't think they look very good. They look bloated and the Spider-Man font...

Of course, the superslim isn't very attractive in my book either. I think the slim was the best one.

I like the suggestion of some that the PS4 look like Xperia Z or some of their recent bluray players. With the estimated power draw of the PS4, what size box are we potentially looking at?

I hope it ends up looking as stunning as their recent blu-ray players.

Same. The blue and red versions imo are quite a bit better looking than the normal black. Something like that - a colour more catchy - would be pretty cool.

I have never doubted that Sony will produce a good looking console. Sony's hardware has very rarely failed to produce good looking devices, though sometimes they are let down by poor materials.

But with their flagship phone, the XPERIA Z looking amazing AND the tablet Z and their latest Vaio Duo 11 looking great too, they are on some fine form

As for the actual OP, it is clearly just complete speculation. I think Sony might unveil the box before E3, but probably only about a week before the event to build excitement. They won't have time to go over it at the press conference, as they will be too busy showing the FF VII remake along with KH3 and Versus PS4

Geez if they showed all 3 of those people who said Japan would be Nintendoland this gen (for home consoles) would really start to doubt it I bet.  Might help reinvigorate the JRPG in the West since FF7 did so good here.  Alas, tis a dream as of now (not personally interested in JRPG but it's sad to see a fanbase devoid of great content especially from the former leader in the genre).
