Forums - Nintendo - Wii U System Update Details for April, 2013

wish we had more virtual console info. isnt it supposed to be the same time as this update?

VC is stated to launch the day(s) right after the update comes out. However the update was only mentioned to come out "next week". Likely Wednesday/Thursday.

I think we have a lot of VC info already. The only real unanswered question is if it will eventually contain non-Nintendo consoles. Seems like that may be not coming back.

Sounds great, but is there any news of TVii for Europe? I really want to be able to change the volume using the GamePad.

"The day after the update is available next week, the Virtual Console will be made available with titles including Super Metroid, Super Mario World and Ice Climbers all shown as being available. All of the games will be available to play off-TV on the GamePad and each will have its own Miiverse Community. Nintendo also plans to add Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 games at a later date."

from the same source.

You could have written this in the thread I opened yesterday before the NDs, but bigger exposure is welcomed.

@Osc89: You asked about TVii before, but it's different than the TV remote. Press the TV button on your Gamepad (config depending on your setup) and turn your volume up! I can control both my TV and cable box.

Now TVii is that like a special TV feed with comments, no?

I thought TVii added full universal remote capability? At the moment I can't change the volume because I have a surround sound system attached to the TV. I can switch it to TV and turn it on and off though, so better than nothing.
