This would be more accurate. wiiu + wii u vs. ps4 + playstation 4 + play station 4 (people write these in many ways).

"K" would be WiiU's announcement and "B" ps4's. The highest WiiU spike would be the launch. Playstation always wins on the internet though, it doesn't necessarily mean much in real life.

 There was always a console war with Nintendo vs other companies, but when Nintendo was ontop the internet wasnt big. There would've been forum wars all the same. Nintendo in the late 80's to mid 90's had third parties under heavy lockdown.  They were never under the favor third parties but third parties had no alternatives and now they do. They've never been a good partner in a third party opinion.

Clearly there is more interest in the PS4 before launch. Whether that will translate into actual sales IDK. Personally I would be more interested in seeing a comparison of the ps4 and xbox720 once its announced.

I search the word Nintendo when searching Google news. So yea... You are missing about 2000 searches by me. If I want Wii U or 3DS info I go to NintendoLife.

I'm just stating some stats I unearthed. The poll is meaningless and merely there to increase hits on a thread I only expected to get one or two replies with.

To be fair, everyone has known that the PS4 would bear that name for years. You can see that it was building a lead long before either console was announced. The Wii U, on the otherhand, would have been more commonly called the Wii 2 before 2011.

1) Almost the same height is not the same height. The Nintendo bar is slightly taller, making "PS4 already more popular" a blatant lie.

2) note how the PS4 has searches going back a long way, back to before Nintendo's next console was even called the WiiU, when it was called Wii2 or WiiHD

3) There are some fairly interesting correlations.

That huge spike is followed by a drastic drop, at the end of the graph both are near equal.

Ps4 is new and surounded by alot of unknown, so it's also normal that ppl are craving for information.

Sony right now is wayyyyyy higher in my opinion than Nintendo ever was. If they keep pumping out great titles at E3 Nintendo is an afterthought for me.
