Forums - Sales - Pachter and co. about March NPD: WiiU to slump 17% to 55k, Vita 42.5k

VGChartz has Wii U at about 69k for March. Probably undertracked again, just like everything else. I think Pachter is going to be disappointed.

I predicted 43k for Vita and 65k for WiiU

I expect 80k but we'll see...

Yeah I think Pachter is talking out of his ass on this one; can someone please tell him that games sell hardware, and that Wii U actually got 2 big(ish) exclusive titles in March?

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I don't think Wii-U and Vita would be so close with the relative release schedules of both consoles.

I expect Wii-U to be higher than it is here.  Dunno about Vita, it had a pretty poor February (36k iirc?)

How could WiiU be down while having its biggest releases in a while? Does not compute.

Most of those Wii U releases were at the very end of the month with shipment problems for Lego City and MH3U.

Remember that the February NPD numbers were higher than January even though January was a 5 week month (and still had some post holiday boost) ?

It would make sense that NPD was adjusting numbers in the last report, so WiiU being down could make sense.

Pachter/Wedbush has overestimated the Wii U for all four months of release.  Not to say it can't be undertracked, but this doesn't lend credence to it being undertracked.

Shouldn't the WiiU be increasing due to Lego and MH?
