^Again, the vague "X is bad/lame/inferior while Y is better/awesome/superior cause I say so!" thing doesn't really mean anything. Third time you've said this lol. I could easily say the same about anything, but without cold hard facts, it's just an baseless n hollow opinion. Diamond n Pearl has better graphics (important in games like this where you're passively watching your inputs), more refined battle system (whether an attack is physical or special is no longer dependant on the type), the same Pokemon from previous games in addition to new ones, and most importantly, online battling and trading. These are undisputable facts that make it better than previous games. You may like Emerald more, which is fine, but that doesn't mean it's better. I like Diamond n Pearl more than Black n White, but I certainly wouldn't say D n P is better than them. B n W has everything D n P does but more, so D n P can't possibly be better. Same as how D n P have everything Emerald does and more, making them better. And pretty soon we'll have X n Y which'll be everything B n W was but more. Notice the trend here? That's what I meant when I said the games build on each other, like most games in a series.

The 4th Gen had the worse stories & plots, and the land didn't have that much to adventure no Matt where in the region you went. To add insult to injury, you have a under construction under city you get to deal with, but you never get any saga in it afterwards, because it never finishes construction, which makes you lose the whole awesomeness of all the cool adventures you can have in the underground city. The lands were to plain and simple with not much to do besides basic each gen task. The 5th Gen gave land that gives you real stories & plots with real actions to do, like in that electric mountain dungeon cave, and even the gym leaders had actual obstacles that made the game more fun, while the 4th Gen gym leaders didn't really have any decent obstacles to get to them. It was like the 4th Gen had the bare minimum work done on it for a main Pokémon game, I mean everything was just uninspired, with simple do nothing task that made you basically just kick a can pointlessly done the road, and the 4th Gen had great potential with the Legendaries and their locations, like the God Pokémon, and that darkness ghost like legendary, where they had interesting locations, but those areas of the region where do nothing regions to get to the legendary, with nothing interesting happening until you do the same old battle to try to catch a Legendary with an Ultra Ball. I like getting into the special locations, but they where do nothing locations once you got in to make your way to the end to catch the awesome legendary.

I agree the 4th Gen Pokémon are the coolest. But I'm not talking about the Pokémon & the battle system, which the 4th Gen didn't add anything cool. Plus the battle system is another ace where 3rd & 5th Gen wins, because of first duo Pokémon at once vs. duo Pokémon, and first trio VS. trio Pokémon battle. The 4th Gen did have the best region in quantity, but it had no real quality at all, which defeated the whole purpose of even making a bigger region, if it's just mostly do nothing but kick the same old can down the road, then bigger becomes worser. gen 4 had potential with the place you get Castform & under construction underground city, but they did almost nothing with these good ideas for a location. Clearly there was no passion put into 4th Gen Pokémon, excluding the awesome regular & legendary Pokémon for just the Pokémon. Another example is the secret base which is cool idea but you can't do it online to visit other people's secret base for online, and when you do, do secret base with someone there's really nothing to do but check out the place, like it's just a mere treehouse and nothing more.

Around the Network

^First of all, why do you keep mentioning Gen 5 as though I said Gen 4 is superior? I've only been saying the opposite ya foo! xP
And yet again, you're doing the whole "X is better cause I say so!" No facts/evidence supporting your claims that Gen 4 has the weakest plot. Even if that were true it wouldn't matter as I've never heard of anyone buying Pokemon for it's story, as it's always been generic and predictable. All Pokemon games thus far have had the same plot. You're a trainer sent out by a professor to capture every Pokemon n get every badge so you can face the elite 4, meanwhile X team is up to no good and you need to stop them along the way. I don't believe any Pokemon game has deviated from this, Gen 3 n 4 included. So really, since they all have the same story just with different names and locations, calling one bad means they're all bad.
Now I couldn't really understand this next part too well, but it sounds like you're complaining that all you do is battle until you reach your destination. If that's the case then I'm not sure what else you're expecting, as that's the main draw of Pokemon, the battles. You must fight your way to the legendary/gym leader/X objective/etc. That's how it's always been, Emerald included. So that's yet another one of your critiques that could be said for every game. ;)
As for Emeralds double battles, I'm not sure what you're talking about as Gen 4 has em too. And the whole Physical n Special attacks not dependent on type was a pretty fundamental change. There was also something different about swapping out Pokemon but I can't remember it exactly among other things. Oh, and Gen 4 has online while previous Gens don't. Auto-win right there. :)
