What should I chose?

First of all, hey, I'm typing this on my 3ds! Secondly, I can watch Netflix on my 3ds, I can also access my facebook account. There are also a lot of indie games coming to the 3ds, not to mention large games too, most of 'em japanese. And the 3ds of course has the software security of nintendo. OP. 3DS has blazblue too you know.

I have both so I could type this on my 3DS but i'm not because Vita does it better. I could watch Netfilx on my 3DS but my Vita does it better. I could go on facebook, twitter, or other social sites on my 3DS but my Vita does it better. All around I think the Vita is a better system doesn't mean i'm aginst the 3DS.

Yeah, sure, I'm fully aware that the 3ds' internet capabilities aren't on the same level as the Vita. But if your looking for buying a primarely gaming system, the 3ds is the better one because it has more games than the Vita (and that is a fact), and we know that there are many coming up. The Vita, while it will probably pick up, it haven't done so yet, so the 3ds is the better choice. Extra features is a backthought if your buying it primarely for the games, and it should be enough to have the features.

I'd actually wait for both.

3DS because there will be a revision soon. XL was a very sloppy effort by Nintendo due to declining 3DS sales. It was rushed. And nothing will bring a splash into the Western market more than a Pokemon+revision combo so I expect there to be one either right after Pokemon or with Pokemon. Not to mention the battery problems and weird shoulder buttons on OG 3DS. (Those break)

PSVita also has a certain burn-in problem with the screen that can mess it up after a while. They might fix that soon in a later model. Not only that but if you like JPRGs, I'm not quite sure if Vita will get all of them in the West. If tales and one piece are any examples, I think Japan really doesn't care about localizing Vita titles. I agree with the people that say wait for E3 and decide if you think it will be supported enough. Besides, they'll drop the price in the West soon.

For now though, from a software perspective the 3DS wins.

Hardware perspective, Vita wins when you don't factor in those mem cards.

Well, I own a 3DS, and I did own a Vita.

IMO, you should definitely go 3DS. It just has more games, better games, and a ton of games in the future. It's hitting it's stride right now. It's ridiculous how much content is coming.

Unless there are games you really need on Vita, go 3DS. Vita is a beast of a machine, but the support is just not there.

RPG fan? New Shin Megamin Tensei is coming this summer, FE is a great SRPG that I am still playing. I've heard great things about Etrian Odyssey. Bravely default is getting localized.

If you are a fan of JRPG's, it's a no brainer. Your choosing between a ton of new content, or a couple of remakes.
