Forums - Sales - What is the Word on this Weeks NA Chartz

Gamestop, Target, Best Buy and Circuit City all had major Wii shipments this week, Walmart too, to a lesser extent. This is likely to be the pattern for weeks to come - Wii sales will essentially be totally dependent on when stock arrives.

No More Heroes sold less than 30k I'm afraid. Software will be updated tomorrow.

Ah saddening, but that's due to Ubisoft playing it safe with limited shipments.  At least we know it sold through pretty well haha.

And ah tomorrow.  Alright I'll be patien.

LIES!!  NMH sold 678k because that's the number i want to see!!

Haha but do remember Ubisoft didn't take a risk with shipments on the game. Or advertising really, as its a controversial game. But I'm hoping that because the game pretty much sold out in its first week due to limited shipments, that this will encourage Ubisoft to back it a little more to give it some legs.

B-B-but i thought the wii sold "hardcore" games. How can this be?

To be honest though i was truly expecting NMH to be at 200k, what with the install base and everyhting i thought it was garunteed.

I think NMH would have sold the same relative amount if it came out on the other two so called "hardcore" consoles.

"¿Por qué justo a mí tenía que tocarme ser yo?"

Perhaps. Did it get much advertisement aside from gaming websites?

It got no advertisment as it was a controversial game and Ubisoft wanted to keep it on a downlow. Didn't want to pull a Manhunt 2 basically.

NMH is sold out at a lot of stores. I think the shipment was just insanely low. Demand probably is too but supply was even lower.
