Forums - Sales - Has the PS360 consoles reached saturation?

A lot of you lot don't understand the real problem.

This late in the gen, HW numbers are supposed to be down, its the SW that is well below what it should be.

The HW is not too bad considering VGC has it wrong every week. But natural decline in number of SW titles would correlate to a natural decline in HW numbers. The amount of releases during peak years compared to now was a big factor in keeping HW numbers strong.

I agree with this thread. I plan on buying the last of us and gtav day one on the ps3 and that's it for me this gen. I still have assasin's creed 3,tomb raider, far cry 3,and crysis 3 2 finish. I won't get the ps3 day one,but I'll consider getting it six months down the line,at the very least.

This gen still has a long way to go, I bet PS3 will reach 100+M soon.

Yes, it seems like a good time for new hardware.

They might be able to hang on a bit with big price drops. But that hasn't seen to help the Wii.

(And certain people must just all hate you for being correct!)

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

The PS3 will still continue to sell until 2016 atleast, but this year will be the last year of great exclusives, matter of fact this year might be the best year in terms of PS3 exclusives: Ninokuni, Sly 4, GoW:A, Last of Us, Beyond, Puppeteer, Rain, Tales of Xilia etc.

PS3 will reach or come very close to 100m shipped when its all said and done.
