Not really looking forward to the big summer movies as much. I am interested in "Elysium" as i loved District 9.

I saw District 9, it was like a western version of an Anime movie LOL. I wasn't that into it.

I am looking forward to Elysium, but I haven't even seen a trailer and there's only info on the basic storyline and/or plot.

I think it comes out in August but I don't want to suggest a movie I still know so little about.

I'm curious if this movie is in 3D like the dark twisted version of Pinocchio & Pacific Rim (both directed by Guillermo Del Toro and both filmed in 3D)

I saw The Great Gatsby in 3D. I must admit that it was really good. Trees, lights, everything was done perfectly in 3D. Very nice job on their part. Best 3D since either Rio or Avatar.

I heard the samething about the 3D in Star Trek Into Darkness. Also heard it was a really good movie.

I guess people in foriegn Countries get everything before us Americans now, from 3DS games to 3D Movies, LOL.

Here is different kind of take on Great Gatsby. Book was okay i read in the school.

Thanks, I love Real Time with Bill Mahr, but I haven't had HBO in a year or so.

So is there any of the 68 3D Movies of 2013 that you want to see?

There are plenty of good flicks! Cant trust Superman since there has not been a good one since superman 2 and a few parts of 3..

Iron mann3, besides the lame ass 80's villain, is at top of my list.

Man of Steel has Christopher Nolan who was the Director & Writer of Batman Begins & The Dark Knight & The Dark Knight Rises & Inception, as THE PRODUCER.

Theres NO kryptonight.

Zod is the Villian.

And this movie really gets into the emotional aspects of being such a weird strange person among us humans.

And the movie really shows Superman's limitations too.

Just check out the 3D Movie Trailer when you go to see Iron Man 3, so make sure to go early to catch the trailers.

You are welcome. I really don't like the "3D" movies. The 3d is usually poorly done and screen gets more dark because of that. I try to find theatres playing the 2D version of the same movies. Cheaper and better for me. I am not a fanatic hater of 3D though. If the movie is only in 3D or is better in 3D than i would watch it. Few examples of that would be Avatar and Tron: Legacy.

I enjoyed the last Star Trek movie so might check this out. Friends just don't want to go to watch movies that often anymore though.

The Great Gatsby & Star Trek Into Darkness are both much more better in 3D and they both do 3D great.

Haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet but the trailer look good in 3D but people say the 3D wasn't that good, so I can't tell which way about this movie yet.

Anything by Disney should be good in 3D. I hope both Warner Bros. & Dreamworks are the same way.....it does seem like they are, but I can't guarantee you which way about Warner Bros. & Dreamworks until I check out their 3D movies myself.

Late as ever, my picks are:

Disney CGI movie(s) (Monsters University/Turbo/Planes)
Despicable Me 2 3D IMAX

Did not know about 300 prequel 'till now. O.o

And proud member of the Mega Mario Movement!

I updated the OP. I added both Grown Ups 2 (the first one suck, so wait for reviews) & The Lone Ranger as my extra recommendations. Located at the bottom of the OP.

I might add The Lone Ranger to the top XX movies of Summer of 2K13, since Disney did take a long time to reveal their advertise movie OZ prequel was 3D before it was release. But I guess I'm just being hopeful that it will be in 3D because it has the perfect scenes for 3D.

If you have seen Star Trek Into Darkness in 2D then please post here.

And if you have seen Star Trek Into Darkness in 3D then please post in this other Thread:
