Forums - Gaming - New Killer is Dead trailer! It's a Suda51/Grasshopper manufacture game for those who don't know

Tagged games:

The video makes no sense and the graphics are so stylized it's hard to even tell what your looking at. I felt the same way about Killer 7 and I doubt I'll play this one either.

I like that games like this still get made, but I don't think this one is made for me.

Suda's Nintendo love is no more?

I think the love affair was over as soon as he saw No more Heroes sales numbers

That same argument could be made about shadows of the damned or Lollipop Chainsaw. I actually think those are niche titles and are probably pretty cheap and easy to develop

yes because there is a high demand for a game with a guy that masturbates his sword to charge it up.

Suda had make niche games on all console thus far.

Meh, I got burned by No More heroes / Shadows of the Damned / Lolipop Chainsaw, the cutscenes were funny but the gameplay was very repetitive, that it felt like "When is this part going to end just so I can watch the next cutscene?" , I'll just watch them on youtube.

There's another game coming grom Suda51 after Killer is Dead, you know. The artwork shows a character with a striking resemblance to Shinobu.

Fine, but Killer is Dead looks to be in the Killer 7 universe, which was originaly Nintendo exclusive.

It's kind of strange this Japan centric game is coming to 360 which is dead in Japan & not the Wii U.

You're wrong. =P Gamecube version was defintively superior to the Ps2, but Killer7 started on Sony's machine.

Really, I thought Killer 7 was one of those Capcom games that the Cube got exclusive, but were all except P.N. 03 later ported to PS2.

Just looked at my copy, it doesn't have the "Only For (Cube)" on it, so I guess you're right.  Man, I'm bating zero today.

Still, a Wii U version would seem to make more sense then a 360 version for this game.

No. A totally multi-platform (360, WiiU and Ps3) is what would make more sense. After all, Suda51 games don't sell particulary well, but they're welcomed in every platform they end up.

You're both wrong. =P

This game is not in the Killer7 universe, Capcom owns that property.  And Killer7 didn't start on Sony's machine.  It was originally part of the Capcom Five, a set of games overseen by Shinji Mikami and intended to be exclusive to the Nintendo GameCube.  Shinji Mikami was also involved in the concept and plot of killer7, and the game produced by Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi.  The game was ported to PS2, but was censored.

Geez. Shinji's probably the most screwed man by Sony in the Earth. He tried to put Resident Evil 4 exclusive to gamecube, too, but Sony was looming over him xD. I do knew he was involved in the plot; he was involved, as well, in Shadows of the Damned. And yes, I know Killer is Dead is not related to Killer7 (But you can expect some cameos or easter eggs, or at least political implications from the former game).

I did not know it was supposed to be gamecube-exclusive, though. Everyday's school day! =D

He said he would cut off his own head before porting RE4..  He also left Capcom after that which was a big loss for them.

On a fun side note Resident Evil 4 has a special gun called the Killer 7, just a little easter egg.

Capcom may own the Killer 7 ip, but to build something new in the same style with the same themes, like blood powers, is allowed.
