You're both wrong. =P This game is not in the Killer7 universe, Capcom owns that property. And Killer7 didn't start on Sony's machine. It was originally part of the Capcom Five, a set of games overseen by Shinji Mikami and intended to be exclusive to the Nintendo GameCube. Shinji Mikami was also involved in the concept and plot of killer7, and the game produced by Capcom's Hiroyuki Kobayashi. The game was ported to PS2, but was censored.

Geez. Shinji's probably the most screwed man by Sony in the Earth. He tried to put Resident Evil 4 exclusive to gamecube, too, but Sony was looming over him xD. I do knew he was involved in the plot; he was involved, as well, in Shadows of the Damned. And yes, I know Killer is Dead is not related to Killer7 (But you can expect some cameos or easter eggs, or at least political implications from the former game).
I did not know it was supposed to be gamecube-exclusive, though. Everyday's school day! =D
