Heavy rain installation time is 10 minutes or less. It was barely enough to figure out how to do that Origami figure. There must be something wrong with your ps3 if it took 90 minutes. You can skip the patch, It didn't need a patch the first time I played it. (it's just adding move functionality I guess)

There are plenty worse examples though. Resistence 3 game data deletion took almost an hour. I thought the system had crashed, checked online first and it's a known problem with R3. Don't reset the ps3, otherwise you end up with corrupted data. Hopefully the file system gets a complete overhaul too next gen.

PSN store runs really well for me (its quite speedy in fact)

I only got round to playing Heavy Rain for the first time in January this year (that could have factored in to the amount of downloads required after i had installed it)

Signing in & PSN store for me........ FAST.

Downloads & Installations........ painfully slow.

I have not attempted to delete anything yet (hopefully i wont ever need to as i have a 250GB and its not my primary console).

An overhaul would be appreciated no doubt.

Downloads seem like a pain on the PS3. The other day I downloaded 1.5GB game and my xbox downloaded it in 20 minutes. Maybe cause I have a wired connection?

No im not lying.  My xbox takes like 5 - 10m max for an update while my WiiU and PS3 takes l;ike 1 - 3 hours.  This is actually pretty well known issues.  It doesnt stop the PS3 from having great games.  It's alright for consoles to have cons dont you know?

My ps3 never takes an hour to download an update let alone 3 hours lol. I can do the same thing. My xbox takes 8 10 hours to download an update. See?

I never have problems with downloads. Actually its fast, though I never tried downloading 12gb and I live in a small town(4,000ish) in the midwest. Guess im lucky.

Buys PS3 > Wastes time downloading a couple years old multiplat game.
Should have been playing Demons Souls and God Of War 3.

No problems with downloads for anything PS3 at all and that's in Australia and our ADSL2 is not the best connection out there.
