Actually, that's not totally true.  There already ARE people interested in this because it's not just a straight port; it's an improvement.

I will buy it and I don't care if others won't. Why should I care for Wii U owners who complain about missing support but don't buy the games once they come? I bet most people who always complain about S-E have never played their wonderful Dragon Quest remakes or great new games like TWEWY or FF: The 4 Heroes of Light on DS or 3DS. Up to now Deus Ex: HR is the best 3rd party announcement for Wii U imo.

I played TWEWY and DQ9. Looking forward to Bravely Default.

Still, I want the Square support, not the Eidos side.

On handhelds yeah, probably not on consoles though, SE really needs to shape up in general though, their quality bar dropped massively on consoles in the 7th gen, like holy shit.

Lately, Square Enix has not put effort in their games, no matter if Nintendo or the others. So be patient. Perhaps they'll recover their touch. And yes, they'll put effort in Nintendo too.

if the make a sequel for the 3ds i will buy it day 1 plus 1m more copies for ever one to play it

Actually, since the inception of Square Enix in early 2002, SE Japan has had quite a change of heart - they are mostly a Nintendo-centric publisher. Kingdom Hearts and Dragon Quest, both Sony platforms exclusives previously, have become mostly Nintendo platforms only. Square Enix Japan are heavily invested in Nintendo, although mostly via their handheld division. Square Enix Western division however....

Kingdom Hearts 3D was a really good game, so I don't know what you are talking about...they DO make good games for Nintendo consoles.

Well seriously when I see how one of my favorite IPs is handled by Sqenix when it comes to Nintendo home consoles  I dont care anymore. 

I mean  when I heard a Dragon Quest game was coming to Wii I was totally happy then it was a shitty on rails game  WTF?   Then they announced DQ10  and I thought OMG finally  no crappy wannabe DQ   its a real one it has a 10 in its name.   Guess what crappy  MMORPG......
(why does SE have to destroy the games legacies? Why not call crappy FF MMORGPs and DQ MMORPGs   FF Online1  FF Online 2 etc... DQ Online 1 DQ Online 2 etc..... why destroy the brand?....)

So SE can put as much effort into those games as it wants noone ever asked for this kind of games.  None asked for a 2 year old Deus Ex game.   

I wanted the unannounced  SE game everyone knew that was in development but noone knew specifics about to be  some great suprise or at least something like the great new TombRaider  but  I certainly dont want money suckeing time wasting MMORGs  or 2 year old games that cost 5 bucks on PC but that retail for 60 on WiiU...

SE is usually great when it comes to Nintendo handhelds but I am still angry that they f*cked up one of my favorite franchises  the Mana series  with crap like Children of Mana.  Seriously? 1 Stupid town and then you have to enter the same stupid tower 100000 times? .......

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy (being localize and getting Sequel)

Final Fnatasy Crystal Chronicles New

Final Fantasy Tactics A 3D

Kingdom Hearts 3 was hinted to be on the a Duo Screen system by the man who makes & decides each Kingdom Hearts game inside and out.

Chocobo racing 3D

 

Dragon Quest Terry's Wonderland (Nintendo will probably localize)

 

SO I think Square cares plenty, and we got New stand alone Final Fantasy games to look forward too.
