Forums - Gaming - Project Cars - The GT and Forza Slayer?

I'll just say it,
Looks pretty, but it's a driving game, everything comes down to how the cars handle, if they handle like crap then it's worthless.

I'm expecting 5 way wars between Gt, Drive Club, Forza, MarioKart and Project Cars fanboys.

GT3 was probably the only GT that was somewhat massivley bundled. GT5 hardly had any bundles in N.A. or Europe. Whereas almost every Forza game has had weak sales until the massive bundling appears...

GT5 has had several holiday bundles, my friend. No, it didn't generate the majority of its sales said way, but they were there. As for Forza, it was never a big franchise, but selling upwards of 2 million per release (not including Horizon), and prior to signifcant bundling, isn't weak in my book.

I doubt any Forza game sold over 1.5 million without massive bundling usually starts 3 months after release. Even if it sells 2.5 million before massive bundling...that's what GT5 did in its first week. So when comparing to GT5 those sales are weak. Forza 3 and 4 sold an estimated 2-3 million only due to massive bundling. The rest of its sales are standalone which makes both around 3 million each.

Then I suppose you feel Killzone is "weak" next to Halo, yes?

Of course

There are a big difference between GT3 bundle and GT5 bundle... in US you can't buy PS2 without GT3 for a year... you always can buy PS3 without GT5.

But I agree there are bundles for GT5... just not heavly like GT3.

Hardly and bundles. It's one of the least bundled popular exclusives this generation.

not sure where you buy your consoles/games but gt5 is bundled all the time here, if i go to a "mediamarkt" or whatever tomorrow i will see a gt5 bundle, i'm pretty sure about that. but gt5 is obviously still a better selling game as any forza game and gt is a much bigger franchise.

but good that quality and sales are different things and if it comes to quality both are in the same league. gt just had the luck to be the first big racing sim and is one of those rare games which just sell and as long as it won't get few games in a row with bad quality it won't change. same with cod or mario games, they will only stop selling so much if they will be really bad for some games in a row (in the eyes of those who buy these games) or if something will be really much better in the eyes of those gamers.
