Europe = Sony. Wii U will never achieve NA or Japan numbers there.

There is a reason for this. Yesterday I've been in 3 computer games shops in pursuit of PSN cash codes (to no avail :( ) and still couldn't see a single Wii U. This console still hasn't launched here... Not a single store has them, so nobody is buying them. You can buy PS3 in every single store, so people buy them.

The reason is goes much deeper than that. You know, Nintendo never actually "took off" in Europe. During the NES days, SEGA dominated the European market with the Master System thanks to their sports games and arcade conversions and, after, with the Mega Drive/Genesis. In the 32-bit era and after it, Sony simply took SEGA's place with the PS1/PS2 thanks to piracy and sports games/arcade conversions. Nintendo never had a chance in that market, explaining why the european retailers don't buy Nintendo consoles to sell to the costumers.

LOL, am I the only one who has seen the most recent sales?

The PS Vita has fallen again, while the Wii U is rising.

I guess you've seen something else than all of us. Vita is actually up from last week and Wii U is merely experiencing a bump, it's not rising in any way, shape or form just yet. It's going back down next week, after that it'll get a surge once Pikmin 3 is released, after which it's going to dive again and stay down until Christmas, when the big games finally come. 2013 in a nutshell.

actually Wii U will go down but not this week(im 50/50 on it). Lego City comes out in Europe and Japan should get a 5k-15k boost imo! My guess for next week wii u WW is 45k min 65k max!

I doubt LEGO will do for Europe what it did for NA. Europe doesn't seem to be that interested in Wii U, though you may be right, but only if more people find out about the crazy discounts that are out there. I'm actually on the fence and thinking if I should get a Wii U for 199.

How much did Wii sold in Europe and how much did PS3 sold in Europe life time sales, so far?

Playstation Vita = 32 million

Based on what's known right now, I think it's a safe bet. I don't expect the system to sell that much on its own merits, little over 20 million, but PS4 integration could push it higher. That said, I won't know til E3 what's in the pipeline, so I'm shooting a bit high.

Wii U = 20 million

I consider that a fairly optimistic estimate. It sold great it's first month or so, but now it's on track to fall behind the Playstation 3 by the end of the month; the Xbox 360, by mid-May. And if there's anything coming in the next six months to change that, I haven't seen it.

Pikmin 3

Bayonetta 2

Zelda this fall on Wii U

And much more.

Off topic:

I predict the 3DS Life Time Sales to be 200 million at this current rate, with Pokémon X/Y becoming the #1 pre-ordered game of 2013 starting in the next 1 to 3 months.

Vita: ~30-35

Wii U: ~40-45 (Could be lower if Nintendo decides to rush their next system out)

Forgive me for saying so, but those 3 you listed probably aren't going to move that many systems.  And "much more"...I see Wonderful 101, Rayman Legends, RE:R and that's really it. 1 game per month, and nothing to really drive sales. I mean, I might be forgetting a few, but the "big ones" aren't going to be coming until most likely the holidays; all we know is the fact they exist.

As far as the 3DS goes, I can't see it breaking 100 million, let alone 200 million. Especially at this current rate.

I think Kaizar is trying to be the next johnlucas. (This post is only meant for members from 08 and earlier. )

Anyway on topic I will say 30-35 Vita, 32-37 Wii U.

Former something....

Do we have a time frame in place for the life cycles this go around?

I'm saying Wii U (2012 to 2017)
45 million units

I think Nintendo may be the first one to release a 9th generation console.

As for PS Vita (2011 - 2017)
30 million units

By 2015, smart phones will be cheaper on contract and will have better technology than the Vita. PS4 sales may help boost the Vita incrementally, but I don't see any "wow" factor down the line that will woo people to buy the handheld rather than a tablet or smartphone.
