this is lifetime, im inspired cuz of all the hate (doom threads) lately! How come nobody did this 2 years ago with the 3ds? OMFG i can see all the predictions now!!! 15mil lifetime 20mil lifetime! Maybe 1 or 2 guys with 12mil lifetime lol!

Now imagine if someone made a thread like this, but for the Vita! LOL, I can seriously imagine lots of people saying it would sell more than the DS, I can even see 100 or 200 guys saying 200 mil lifetime and 2 million first week!

To be honest I expect the 3DS and vita to sell about one third to half their predecessors, and then for this to be the last (Good) habdheld generation.

So that means:

3DS: 50 - 75 million

Vita: 25 - 40 million

ummmmm this is Wii U predictions and also pick 1 number! Ex Wii U to sell 53mil and Vita 58mil!

 3DS is selling more then the DS for crying out loud, and the DS is like near 150 million, so the 3DS will easily get life time sales of at least 175 million.

noooooooo, dont think that way! 3DS will get at least 80mil to 120mil max!

You're living in fantasy land if you think that. 

Even Iwata has stated in recent financial statements, they're not happy with 3DS sales in the West. It used to be that DS sales in Japan were big, but the US and European sales would be 2-3x higher (which is normal as this is proportionate to overall population). But nowadays the 3DS in Japan sells more than North America and Europe combined. 

Monster drop off. The 3DS is selling more like the PSP in the West than the DS, which took off like a rocket after DS Lite + NSMB. 

Nintendo has announced that 700 games have already been released on the 3DS.

I think I will get Sherlock Holmes and the Mystery of the Frozen City (also 3DS exclusive)

And Nintendo said that they are going to Localize a ton of 3rd Party 3DS Japanese exclusives.

And it's 3D.

And the reason why anyone hates 3D is because they have to wear glasses, which the 3DS takes care of this problem.

And you can get full 3D movies to watch on the go both physical & digital copies, which stereoscopic movies have been around since 1930's.

And Hulu Plus is getting 3D movies, and HoutTube already has 3D videos.

And there are NO 3D smartphones (if there was then they are discontinued)

Just look at the PSP vs. Wii and also PSP vs. DS.

Sony can't sale handhelds is all.

I see the 3DS selling more then the DS. And I see the PS Vita selling less then the PSP. It's just the same as the last gen, except more higher volume of the same kind of sales.
