Which one do you think has been bigger on handheld consoles.  I even included PSP sales for Call of Duty instead of just the DS games. Which one is bigger? This generation by the way.

Pwned. Maybe that's why JayWood left handhelds out? There's no point in comparing franchises if you leave half of the games out...

So, because it's debatable that Call of Duty may be bigger than Mario on Home Consoles this past gen, you had to make this thread to get some sort of closure?

Am I missing something here?

I am pointing out how ludicrous it is to ignore half the market when comparing the strength of two IPs. And how absurdly biased it is to exclude the half that massively favors the overall winner to make the other look bigger.

Like comparing the height of two people standing on boxes, and making one of them get off their box but not the other. Then pointing at them and saying, "See, that one's bigger (on a box)." Yes, technically it is true that one of them stands taller than the other, but you learn nothing from that comparison.

That thread was more like "bigger in things that need to be connected to a monitor or a TV", plus what the dengle said above.
