Forums - Gaming - Ground Zeroes and Phantom Pain are 2 seperate games. PP is definitely for PS360 but wont talk about Ground Zeroes

Metal Gear Solid 5 is The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes in one game: http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/27/4153444/metal-gear-solid-5-is-the-phantom-pain-and-ground-zeroes-in-one-game

This news is old... the new one said Konami confirmed two games but can be false too.

So MGS V was announced and yet some how The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeros are separate? I don't get it when I was watching the event it said that the two games where really one game and it was MGS V.

Siliconera again:

Update 2: We got in touch with Boor again, this time asking if the two games will be part of the same package or on the same disc. He replied: “Can’t confirm at this time”.

I'm not sure what's up with the visual differences (GZ looks a lot better, IMO), but I'm just going to assume it's one game until they quit fucking around and give a straight answer.

I think The Phantom Pain is this gen game and Ground Zeroes the next-gen game.

TPP on PS360, GZ+TPP on PS4/Nextbox, maybe?

No, damn it! I said I'm going to stop this, and I am!

I know you like that .

I guess we need to hire some kind of super-agent like james Bond or
Solid Snake to find out what is really going on with MGS5

Well, if that's the case they have spoiled GZ's ending already. Thanks.

About this news:

http://www.edge-online.com/news/kojima-touts-potential-of-pilot-episodes-for-next-gen-game-development/

Could this talk about "pilot episodes" to "gauge interest" be referring to this GZ and PP thing?

And they confirm that PP (episode 2) is on PS3 and 360 but no word about GZ (episode 1), which would be only logical to assume it'd me confirmed on those platforms too, since, you know, it's meant to release earlier.

Pretty odd this.

Exactly. Any exclusivity or next gen only release wouldn't make sense at all.

Maybe Ground Zeroes is singleplayer and Phantom Pain is multiplayer?
