Forums - Nintendo - I constantly see threads saying " (insert game name) coming to any system other than Nntendo ones", why? The 3DS is a beast!

3DS isn't that great for 3rd party software. 90% of my games are 1st party (Yes I know, I'm part of the bigger problem)

Seems only the "big" 3rd parties like Capcom or Square can find success on it.

Doesn't help that the E-shop is terrible at promoting indies and other digital title onlys in general.

I'm willing to also bet that some devs try to code the 3D, say "fk it this isn't worth it".

You should totally start a petition to get TLoU on 3DS. Just because I want to see it lol.

3DS is doin pretty well software wise imo. I've got 3 games that I still want to buy for it that are available now and of course I've gotta get Pokemon X/Y day one.

Dunno about psp but vita indie scene is going strong for a reason. Sales have been great and sony has been actively promoting indie games on both vita and ps3. This is why devs like the creators of Retro City Rampage praise the vita so (the game outsold ps3/steam sales even). Digital sales are great on the vita, and the great vita store is one of the reasons. Very nice design that leads to a lot of impulse buys

You are doing this wrong btw. If you don't see enough indie support on the 3ds or the wiiu...no need to downplay the competition..just consider the shortcomings of the system or rather how nintendo is handling them and you will have your answer. This is what I say for 3rd party support on wii u as well

I do not own a Porche either, does nt mean I do not enjoy reading about them. 3DS failed me all those months ago. That is all.

Plus, all I see is new threads and vita news thread about more and more games coming. You just want to turn a blind eye from what I have seen over the years from you.

If it failed you why do you care if it get games or not? you're not answering the question. You no longer have a stake in it.

What are these news threads? Seriously, i have both and i want to know so i know what to look out for. Most of what ive seen coming is multiplats and ports for both of them. SO its not like Vita is doing that much better.

This wont happen because it requires them to look at the situation logically and like an adult.

Have you ever been on the eShop?

EVERY new release is given promotion time on the front page. That is why Nintendo chooses to only release a select few titles every week; they want to give them all a fair shot at being promoted.

No other service offers that.

i don't know about psp but sony recently stated that vita digital sales > ps3 digital sales.

Also iirc games like retro city rampage and oddworld strangers warth sold more on the vita than on any other platform... so yes i'd say worth it...

I don't follow any part of this conversation. The Wii U and 3DS are actually getting very good support from smaller and independent developers. The reason "Wii U haz no gaemz" is because it's not getting any of the major third-party multiplatform games in the first half of this year -- stuff like Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, Metal Gear Rising, DMC, and Dead Space 3. Hmm... Square Enix, 2K Games, Konami, Capcom, EA... none of those are indie developers. In fact, those are some of the biggest publishers in the industry.

Meanwhile, the Wii U is doing a better job of attracting indie developers than it is major publishers. With games like Runner 2 and Puddle already released this year, and lots more on the way (Shovel Knight was just confirmed recently, simultaneously with the 3DS version; no other console version has yet been confirmed).

And 3DS? It's proving to be a big hit with companies like Level-5, WayForward, Renegade Kid, and (more recently) Bertil Hörberg, the developer of Gunman Clive, who was so impressed with sales of the 3DS version of his mobile game that his next title is being developed "from the ground up" for the 3DS.

Bertil also got into a heated discussion with Fez creator Phil Fish in defense of Nintendo's policies towards indie developers, which are surprisingly supportive.

Nintendo is growing on indie devs. It's already popular among smaller publishers. The companies who remain unimpressed are the massive ones.

And this whole topic baffles me. 3DS has great third-party support, just not from the major Western publishers, who generally have little to no interest in the handheld market. But nearly every major Japanese publisher has taken an interest in the 3DS: Capcom (Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mega Man), Square-Enix (Kingdom Hearts, FF: Theatrhythm, Dragon Quest, Bravely Default), Konami (Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, PES), Namco-Bandai (Tales, Project X Zone, Naruto, RIIIIIIDGE RACER(!!!)), Sega (Rhythm Thief, Sonic Generations, Sonic Racing, Sonic & Mario). Activision and EA will never come around and start supporting a handheld. Ubisoft will keep trying, but not very hard. But the Japanese games will keep coming.
