THis is just not true. Different reviews have complained about different things about both one and Z. 

OT: You really can't go wrong with either option tbh. Different outlets will complain about different things for all these phones. Outside of minor differences key areas will be very comparable. I would say go with Z since you like the design so much and the water resistant can be a neat feature to have. Either way good luck on your purchase

I'd go with the HTC One if you don't need the ability to replace the battery or use an sd card.

Well when i bought my GS2 i also went for the sexy, good looking device I loved the reactions i got when i showed people my phone. But that really does fade after a while, even with an amazing amoled display. Thats my biggest gripe with the Xperia Z - the screen technology just isnt there for me. The contrast ratio is pretty bad compared to amoled on the GS2. The resolution bump will be nice but giving up that contrast ratio is a big deal for me. So you might say then why not just go with the GS4.

Good question. Well i think im tired of touch wiz. Its really a boring design at the end of the day...i also look at the extras Samsung are packing in the GS4 and it just doesnt do it for me (airview, healthy app etc.). On the HTC however i love the new camera features and blinkfeed seems like a brilliant idea for me. Il place my sports, news, twitter, facebook, engadget feeds in that thing and that will be amazing. The xperia z on the other hand hasnt done much when it comes to pushing extra software features. The hardware on the other hand is brilliant. An underwater camera!!! Think of the possibilities. You can search for underwater footage from the Z on youtube btw...beautiful.

I think at this point for me...its all about the software and long term usage. HTC seems to offer legitimate extras that will actually improve the way you use the phone from day to day. And thats where i think im sold. Oh and the design on the HTC One and the Z shits ALL OVER THE S4!

I don't think he can go wrong with either of the 3 as well Mugen.

But I think ive read just about every major mobile review site there is over the last month with a complete focus on the Z vs The One.

Initially i was going with the Z based on the beautiful design alone lol. But after my research id say The One definitely has the edge imo. And the reviews have favoured it more. Even if both are highly regarded.

I also think its a good bet to go with a "next gen" cpu rather than a current one. The HTC one scores double the score of the Z in sythetic benchmarks. Which does have real world benefits. Just my thoughts not trying to push one or the other

I'd go with the xperia z, i just looks amazing and for me the water ressistance is a killer feature. I've always wanted to take my phone (in)to the pool and the shower.

I don't really know about the specs and stuff since and since you're probably going to get a new one in a few years anyway i don't think it really matters which one has the best processor and stuff since nothing is going to use that power until then anyway (i think).

Second choice would be the htc one. The galaxy phone looks just cheap to be honest...

Just get the one you think suits you best.

Edit: oh and my post wasn't directed to the person above me who said something about cpu's i didn't see that untill now... It's just that i don't notice that kind of stuff, you could give me any phone and i probably coulnd't tell which one is better specs wise, so i don't really consider it important as long as something runs smoothely..

Well, if you want a waterproof phone, then the Xperia Z is the best option, but other than that, its not that special.
The S4 looks good, and has some unique gimmicks, so if you want a phone that will sell well, then the S4 is the best option but doesn't look very special either.
The HTC One looks like the best from the 3, but that's just based on the few very positive reviews I've seen for it. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how it will sell.
If I were you, I'd chose between the HTC One or S4, but if a waterproof phone is important for you, then get the Xperia.

Thanks M.U.G.E.N yeah the water resistance seems to be solid from what I read too.

And Shinobi-san see I read that the HTC One has more up to date features but also that the Xpheria Z has some SONY features that can't be found on other phones as well. Also from what I have seen the camera on the HTC is clearer but the colors suffer more...same with video quality. I guess when the guy gets them both in I can play with them side by side to see which one I prefer more. Becaue with the minor differences I think it will boil down to which one I like the interface on more.

I have however seen reviews complain about things like battery life and camera on the HTC One. I believe even verge complained about them. 

But at the end of the day these reviews tend to be very subjective. One guy loves the Z design while another doesn't like it etc. Depending on the needs of the OP he can't go wrong with either.
