Forums - Politics - Excuse me while all debate over gun bans becomes instantly null-and-void thanks to technology.

Just get rid of the ammo... guns are no use without that...

bullets can be made at home too. that is why most of this leglislation is pointless. Crazy people have the time on their hands to illegaly purchase or make their own weapons(weather its guns, or bombs), and they have the will to do so.

I call BS!!!! the first thing people would do with a 3D printer would to make sex dolls so the world would still be safe!!!

Well yeah, 3D printers will do that. Though as i recall there are still a couple pieces of equipment 3D printers can't make.

Though apparently that might not be so anymore... or maybe they just added those parts.

3D printing is AMAZING and really going to test copyright laws in the future.  The whole "You wouldn't download a car" thing would might actually end up being more then just a bad analogy.

Best advice is for everyone to have a gun, that way there is a level playing field and you can defend yourself if some wacko has one and tries to abuse it.

It's better than the alternative, which is state control, and only the police having guns. That would be de facto martial law.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.

To be fair... You don't need 3D printers to do it.

You just need a CNC mill. Sure, the 3D printers are cheaper, but I know people that make their own AR-15s from scratch. Its not that difficult to make. Heck, someone made an AK-47 receiver and stock out of a SHOVEL.

The gun debate has always been pointless. As long as guns exist anywhere, they can be obtained and used by people wanting to do others' harm. The same can be said for drugs, bombs, and other such things. They aren't complex.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

They need to get stronger 3D printer material first, the current crap melts and shatters after a few rounds.

That was then, this one fired over 600 rounds and they ran out of ammo.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

Yep, it's pretty pointless to ban things that can be easily downloaded from the internet, it's not as if people get caught and jailed all the time for possession/creation/distribution of child pornography over the internet...
