It's from the notion that most third parties don't do well on the system, and somewhat carried over from Wii/DS. Not big companies like Square Enix or Capcom, but numerous small-medium size developers who tried their hand at the system(s). In other words it's a reference to the lockdown on the system by Nintendo games and other giant brands blocking out smaller developers from doing well, because at the end of the day the users would rather buy Mario or Dragon Quest.

I see. Makes a lot of sense when put like that.

The Wii.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I like to call the Sega Genesis "Geny" pronounced like the female name Jenny.

Sometimes I call the Super Nintendo "SNES" as in sounding it out rather than saying the letters individually.

I like to call the NES ' Nessy" like the Lock Ness Monster.

The Intellivision is "Intelly"

I like to jokingly call the N64 "Ultra 64" because that was it's original name.

When I'm talking about the PS3 and the Xbox 360 I like to refer to them together as "PS360".
