Let's compare Model T ford sales to a Honda Civic. Man... Model T's flopped hard... It makes no sense to compare the two and quite frankly that fact that you don't see that is alarming

Nintendo apparently is still trying to get back that Wii audience. How well do you guys think Wii Fit U will sell? Will come anywhere close to the 22million of Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus? I think this title will tell us exactly how much of that Wii audience Nintendo has left.

Edited the response now. Mostly because the media he listed werent fads like he claims they were. The obvious media fad was the one he obviously forgot existed (most likely because of the fad status)

I'm still interested in your reasoning as to why all consoles can't be fads or as to why the Wii is the only console that can be considered a fad.

And yet you cannot offer a single reason as to why they're wrong about the PS2 or any other platform.

the more and more you comment the worse you get. Because I can observe a fad from one generation I can't input my opinion on that generation I observed? One of the most absurd things said in this thread

Pretty sure Kinect is right up there with that Wii Fit in terms of sales. That's not the point though. Nintendo had this "Wii Fit" crowd all to themselves until Sony and Microsoft chased after them.

Among that as you can see from my previous console ownership that I didn't game last generation (I was busy skateboarding and playing what little games I did at friends house) and before that I would have been in my pre-teens. The only thing I can observe first hand would be from the Ps2 era because it obviously went through the period I started observing and I can get an idea of how the Ps2 performed prior to when I observed from what I've read.

You don't have a case then.

Asked, answered, and completely demolished that claim without a shred of doubt on how ridiculous it is. Nice try though. All the people have that say it isn't a fad try to make illogical comparisions.
