Lets hope that it ends soon . For me this is like Lost, over hyped and under-delivering

I do agree with you on season 5 and 6, but I thought season 7 was excellent and really got back to what was really good with dexter like in season 1.

Seasons 1 and 4 are the best. I love this show but a lot of the cast is gone now so they should bring it to a graceful end. Also, I feel that since Deborah is in the know, the show has lost a lot of it's appeal to me. The secret life thing was very important to me.

I think deb had to know eventually though for the story to progress. I think they did well in season 7 with the dynamic of deb and dex.

Season 2 - great
Season 3 - good
Season 4 - great
Season 5 - good
Season 6 - satisfactory
Season 7 - good

I remember reading not too long ago that it was never confirmed that this would be the last season. All that was announced before season 7 was that they had agreed to at least 2 more seasons. Regardless, I'm glad Deb found out, gives the show something new to work with. We already had 6 seasons of it being a secret.

Can't wait the last season was great!!!

Well, we all knew she would. :)

Hopefully S8 can live up to S7. I'd hate to see the series sink back into the sea of mediocrity that was seasons 5-6.

Sine it is very likely the last season, I hope it goes out on a really high note.
