The ruling is a joke. Literally, the judge was making a joke. He doesn't expect the kid to follow through with it and the judge wouldn't try to enforce it.

If it's a technically enforceable legal ruling, there's still a problem even if he "wouldn't".

I agree you're not allowed to yell Bingo on private property but it shouldn't be illegal, it should just be banned from the premises. This is not a problem for the law if no one was hurt.

He was being disorderly.  In other words, he was being a nuisance and disturbing the peace.

On private property, for which the punishment should be expulsion.

Get on an airplane and yell "bomb" then see what happens.....

I actually do that quite a few times , because I know people who works in an airport as security managers and I want to test the security so that I'd tell them whats wrong with the staff, I noticed a lot of slip ups every time, people complain that security is very strict, but honestly I managed to sneak in a folded knife inside the plane.

yes i did get myself in trouble sometimes, but I was doing it on purpose, in the UK the security is a complete joke too, they only search you if you are wearing middle eastern / african clothing, and i was ignored because I'm white yet I had metal all over my pockets lots of other stuff on my hand bag , Egyptian airport is the worse, you can bribe them in the open and they let you pass, sometimes they even not give back your bag unless you give them a tip, I've not tried US airport because everyone's a total douche there (no offense)

I was talking about the US, you get in deep shit pretty easily over here for that lol.

LOL

Bitch shouldn't have been yelling Bingo when he hadn't won the damn game. He got off lucky. Why, if I had my way, he'd be facing 20 to life.

Um...no.   You hold a party at your house that gets too loud, you can be cited for disturbing the peace.

Yelling BINGO, depending how it's played, can have a negative monitary impact on other players if the wipe the cards clean before the BINGO is confirmed.  You can tell people not to clear their cards before it's confirmed, but there will be some who clear their cards.  Not to mention having someone run into a room with a bunch of old people then shouting BINGO could be dangerous.

I suppose getting shot at a theater is like losing the game, the game of life?

I'd actually would rather see more rulings like this. The judge said the 18 y/o was obviouslya good kid and was never in trouble before. The infraction was a joke and caused no harm either. The judges other option would be more burdensome on the kid

You mean dismissing the case as a frivolous prosecution and a waste of the court's time, but giving the kid a bit of a telling off for doing something dumb? Yeah, really burdensome.

It definitely is not frivolous. And the alternative wouldbe like a weekend of community service
