Agree, the Spartan ops mode has the best gameplay and more hectic firefights, but the campaign is great for its cinematic, but it is quite easy even on legendary.

It is only okay because of the cutscenes. Crismson , finish this enemies, now press this button, good now go back to point a and press that button, oh but before you can do that you have to finish all the enemies first, press button more enemies come then they announce that you will get a ride or have to go through a door but before that you have to beat even more enemies.... good you finished them now you can go home.... Oh wait we just got emergency call from Team X they need your help... Do this for every level...
Thought it was pretty boring. Especially on legendary.

This!!! It seriously has to be some of the most repetitive gameplay and objectives. It has its moments like the mantis fight on Ragnarok along with a couple others, but not nearly enough.

I think it comes down to what you enjoy out of Halo. What I find appealing in Halo is the same basic 5 minutes of gameplay and set pieces which can turn havet 1 million different outcomes. Spartan ops is just that, without any extra mustard on top.
Also, the idea of episodic true campaign still stands. Imagine Halo 4 campaign told through 1 hour long gameplay sessions which get released over the course of 6 months after release. I think that would be awesome.
I must say episodes 7-10 really impressed me. All in all it episode 1-10 takes 10 hours to complete, awesome for a FPS! Free DLC is always nice, and it also advanced the story which was the #1 reason why I played myself.

In concept Spartan Ops is great and it shows in some instances. I like the idea of a weekily released content, only if it's done right of course. Spartan Ops could have been amazing if they didn't recycle the same environments and the missions themselves weren't so damn repetitive. I really enjoyed how Alan Wake was made like a TV show and each episode was a chapter, but instead of a single package just release a new episode each week instead of all together to help build the suspense. The Walking Dead game is a good example of it done right.
