The american debt is already nearing critical mass. There's little anyone could do right now to stall it.

Yep us on the left like to think and usually are more educated than people on the right. The right is good at 2 word sound bites and thats about it. LOL FUnny you recognize. LOL

Yeah, but I guess it isn't them who are the first freaking out, and it's not the first time if I remember you from other threads correctly.
The republicans might be highly ineffective on almost everything they try to do, but Bernanke and some democrats would dissuate the entire country to a merry dance to economic oblivion after a few years of borrowed prosperity.

I'm not being biased...I'm pointing out your bias. I made no mention of my opinion on the matter one way or the other. I'm certainly not a Republican. I do think that demagoguery, whether it be from the right or the left, is extremely detrimental to the discussion, not to mention irresponsible and completely unhelpful to resolving the situtation.

In the 1930's our debt was way worse and we went on a spending program that got us out of debt. Because one thing that low information voters don't understand is a GOvernment Create markets. Without them you can't have one. It is not like a house hold or a business but if you have went to college like I have you would have already known that.

Dear low information voter,
There is plenty of room to cut, the problem is that what needs to be cut is what each side cares about the most. We have ended one war and the other will be over next year, defense spending should be dropping massively, but Republicans don't want to cut it. The Social Security and Medicare age should also be raised, because people are living longer, but Democrats don't want to cut that. The only solution is for them to make deals that hurts both sides, like the recent sequester.
