On game saves.

Some games can be transferred onto a jump drive or other memory device and put on your new PS3 (this is assuming you can turn on the PS3 and navigate the menu). Otherwise, might have extra work to get data from hard drive to another source. However, for some reason some games lock this feature and it seems random and have no idea why.

you can get unlockables by uploading someone elses save and possibly trphies

It's an original ps3 which is really hard to find, try to fix it if you can't take it to the concerned person.

Didn't you buy a Wii U within the past few months? Try ditching the Wii U. Playstations have been known to behave disorderly when in the presence of Nintendo products. Some analysts have theorized that this is the result of some sort of futuristic, high-tech super virus created by Nintendo which emits from the console to the nearest Playstation product. This would make sense as it explains why Nintendo can never create a powerful console; they spend too many resources on sabotaging other consoles rather than strengthening their own. I suggest banning all Nintendo products for the rest of your life.

you don't get a yellow ligh just before it turns off?
you still can make it work... search reballing ps3 on google and near you... after reballing the GPU the console will last you more because of "not lead free" soldering they will do in the reballing. and its cheaper than buy a new one.

If you really want to, you can take in your ps3 for repair. I believe the blinking red light can be repaired. I know a few places that do it for you. Or look up the method to do it yourself. If not, just get a new slim. I'm sure all your downloads will transfer over. I'm not sure about your game saves though. I think you have to have your original PS3 functioning or a back up from an external hard drive.

Damn that's the exact same model as mine... I'm scared now.

Signature goes here!

If it's just a red blinking light. Give your PS3 a day, and then see if it turns on. Be prepared to back up your entire PS3 to an external HDD. That way, you keep all your saves (even the copy protected ones), your digital games (no need to re-download), themes, etc. The full back up option is in the settings menu.

Once that's done, go to account management and deactivate your PS3. Then, go to your nearest pawn shop and sell it.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Why don't you send it in for repair?

I do want to say its a bit dissappointing that d21lewis can't use his magic jojo to fix his ps3... Another dream shatterd
