I got both a 3DS and WiiU copy, so when the WiiU is in use (most of the day by my wife and daughter) I can work on the game on my 3DS then transfer the file to the WiiU when it is free. Both versions are good, the WiiU is better. Both are improvements on the Wii version (almost 200 hours played on that one).

me too! I play with my bro, lots of fun!

Hard to say.

If you want to get into MH, online/multiplayer is pretty central to the whole MH experience. MH3U for 3DS doesn't have online.

We don't know if MH4 will have online in NA either.

If you had a WiiU then I would say getting MH3U would be nice.
But I'm going to recommend skipping MH3U for 3DS unless you have other people to play Multiplayer with.

Why do you say that?  It will have online in Japan, so if it ever makes it here, why would they take it out?  That would be counter-productive.

Christ Im indecisive right now, im probably gonna end up buying it anyway though in a few days the next time im in the game section lol but im thinking about waiting now, everyone keeps saying how fun the online is :/

its great, im getting my ass whoop by these monsters, im new to the franchise. I'll be a pro soon enough, definitely a game worth $60 or $40 on. I would even recommend buying a wii u since this game you can put 300+ hours into(if your new of course)

Does the 3DS version of MH3G have online in JP?

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

No, I believe it does not.
