Huh??? The only advance you get for shooting skills was two Aiming augmentations where it would steady one's aim, that is it, nothing more. Again, the game doesn't not reward you (like in achievements) for being shooters. In fact, if you shoot even one person, you cannot get numerous achievements that are associated with doing a stealth only play-through. As I said earlier, you don't get rewarded in the game for playing a shooter, which makes one play the game in the stealth style. if one wants to play a shooter, that's fine, they will not be rewarded so as to be able to advance certain skilsl that allows the player to get through harder game settings or be able to get certain other skills.

So I'm assuming that, except for those two shooting skills you've mentioned, the Typhoon and Throwing heavy objects are oriented for stealthy-pacifist gameplay, huh? I didn't realize it...

I still don't get your point. You obtain extra XP for shooting precisely an enemy, the same way that you obtain XP for non-lethal actions. The same way you obtain XP for infiltrating without activating an alarm. The game rewards you for playing as a shooter. You are able to advance certain skills and get through the hardest difficult (Difficult only changes how much damage can Jensen substain, nothing else) playing as a shooter. Again your only argument is that there are not shooting-related achievements. But in-game rewarding =/= achievements. I mean, you can non-lethally play Metal Gear HD Collection and you won't be rewarded with an achievement for doing so (I think in MG: Peace Walker there is one achievement actually), but that does not mean the game does not reward you for playing like that. If you're not building a stealth character, you'll receive enough XP (And more if you're a good shooter) to maximize whatever you want in your build. Simple as that.

I don't know if I should play Deus Ex next or Mass Effect 1.

Deus Ex, that doesn't end in complete disappointment.

But I'm assuming you haven't played any of the ME trilogy.

Why does ME1 end in complete disappointment? While these two games are totally different styles, on a storyline, writing and character basis, Mass Effect blows away DE: Revolution away (this is my opinion and I  prefer more role playing than shooting). If you're referencing ME3, I would agree only somewhat, because the ending of DE:R was similar in choice (actually less of a choice) and that really ruined that game for me. Personally, DE:R was OK, but it doesn't compare to the first game. To those on the fence getting this that haven't played, IMO, the gameplay choices make this game good and the mechanics to using them are cool.

Right, I was referring to ME3.

DE:R had a satisfying ending. ME3 had an ending that made me lost all interest in that IP.

What a weird choice of game to port over, maybe Square testing the WiiU market? Good news either way.

I guess this game means that all hopes for a Tomb Raider port can be buried.

It's coming. In 2016.

OT:

Interesting. Got it already for €5 or something but I've yet to play it. Might consider the port if it's well made but probably not at full price.

Well, at least it's a move-up from Wii being a shovelware dumping ground

I will pick it up if it ever comes out to $29.99-$39.99.(3rd party games should either be 8.0+ or a AAA exclusive to be worth $60 on the Wii U). BTW is this another FPS?

No, it's isn't another FPS. It has some role playing elements, but it can be played three ways; total shoot'm up through the game, or total stealth through the game where you get achievements (or whatever the Wii styled cheevos offer) for completing the game within certain parameters, and it's hard to do as well. Then there's a combination of the two. If you have a PC, I would recommend playing the fiast Deus Ex, as it can be played on a low end PC and it can be gotten for real cheap; if you can get past older graphics, the gameplay and story is very good.

I tried to play the first game, but i couldn't even get through the first level, I definitely couldn't get past the terrible graphics! Also, I found it just impossible to shoot anyone as I didn't have any shooting skills
