The qouted text is just bizarre. I would not consider Emma Watson curvy

Yeah, the quoted text didn't make sense... Emma Watson is adorable but I wouldn't consider her to feminine like a barbie doll... if I were mod I lets it slide because the picture did fit... and I red it once when the thread was first posted.... didn't the poster say he likes his girls with both female and male features?

Yep! Gay is not a usable word now. It's the G** word.

So it's the G** Rights parade now?  L*BT centers?

I'm quite convinced the mod was straight and overreacting to a perceived insult.

It doesn't matter if it's homosexual, you still used it in the form of an insult.

calling someone gay is only an insult if being gay is something to be insulted about ;)

Calling someone gay with a picture of Bill Cosby being confused is pretty easy to interpret as being an insult. If someone posted this in response to a post with bad English, would you consider it an insult?

The post was confusing!  Saying Emma Watson is too curvy is like saying fire is too cold.  I wasn't insulting him/her.  Just to clarify, let me repeat:  I was not insulting the poster.

I.  Was not.  Insulting.  The.  Poster.

And, as stated before, I have seen FAR worse than that go by with nary a scratch on that same forum.  I thought we were at a point where 'gay' wasn't an insult?  For the record, you just equated calling someone gay with calling them retarded.  Wow.

See I know you didn't think of it as an insult, but I'm explaining how someone fresh to the discussion could view it as such.

Also, calling something gay is very similar to calling something retarded. In fact I'll make a thread about it.

Niether are bad, we just have pussies everywhere who are way too sensitive and think they are offensive

Neogaf is very into social justice. In other words don't talk about anything but games on Neogaf.

The problem here, and I think we would all agree, is that you were on NeoGAF.

You deserved to get banned, because even if you weren't calling the poster in question Gay. You indeed implied that there was something unsavory about being Gay. Whether it was in jest or not. You were feeding into a very negative very persistent stereotype. It just isn't appropriate to refer to anything as being Gay anymore. It really says more about the demographic then the object in question.

Especially if the object in question is in anyway out of the norm. It is basically a veiled attack that denigrates a entire group of people. Through the implication that they are not normal. Which is actually not how Gay people want to be viewed by society. They want you to recognize that their lifestyle is equally valid, and entirely normal. Implying otherwise is quite insulting.

That is how I see it. You probably shouldn't refer to anything as being Gay anymore. If for no other reason then it is insensitive to our LGBT brothers and sisters.

You used "gay" as a derogatory word, stop playing dumb. One is not suddenly gay if he does not like feminine women. Maybe he likes the "supermodel" type. Less feminine features and less curves.

On another note, I like feminine women...like Emma Watson.

I find it interesting that saying "gay" in a derogatory fashion got you banned, but people outright saying they want to put their penis in her, cum inside her, etc., didn't receive any warnings for rudeness or PC.

That dude was gay
