But in Japan PS3 is dominating the charts

Actually, the PS3 isn't the highest selling system in Japan; the 3DS is.  The WiiU will eventually find its stride there; Dragon Quest X at the end of this March will give it a considerable boost.

I'm pretty sure PS360 userbase is still enjoying RE6. There's no hurry for a new one.

Here's another juicy piece of victory for WiiU fans. Although it is still months away (May), Resident Evil Revelations is making some solid preordering progress. It's #4 on the top selling WiiU games on Amazon (meaning that it's still in the 500 region, but still good).

And guess what? It's outselling the PS3 and XBox 360 ports. In other words, the PS3 version is WAAAAAAY down, selling at the #1,863 rank. It's #44 on the top selling PS3 games on Amazon. The XBox 360 version? It's #59 on the Best Selling XBox360 games, and in the #2738 rank.

So what does this mean? It means that we have another potential hit for WiiU in the form of this HD port. Here's another reason to why the game is gaining traction on Amazon. It's cheaper. It currently retails at $39.99, while the PS3 and XBox 360 ports are at $49.99, respectively.

Yet another sign of evidence that things are starting to tip the scales in WiiU's favor.

This proves a few points that I've always felt.

1. Capcom had NO reason, after how well RE4 sold on Wii (and considering most who played it considered it the best version), NOT to release RE5 on it. Yes, they would have had to scale it down, and yes, the game wasn't very good, but that's besides the point. It would have sold, and it likely would have played better.

2. The "Chronicles" games, in spite of being HotD type rail shooters, further proved that RE sold on Wii.

3. In non-RE related news, it also proves that when "new" games come along that Wii U owners really want, they can and WILL go out and buy it. Ubisoft would have seen this if they would have just released Rayman when they were supposed to. Lego City, Monster Hunter, Pikmin, etc. will also prove this point moving forward. Something like Wii Fit U is certain to sell big, and also move consoles. So the whole "Wii U is dead" after only a few months, kind of goes out the window.

Strange that it's cheaper on WiiU - and it even features off-TV play.

Ports/remakes of RE games seem to do well on Nintendo consoles: Resident Evil remake did almost 1.5m on GC and Resident Evil 4 did over 2m on Wii. Here's hoping Revelations finds success on WiiU.

So you're comparing different lists, with no numbers for any of them, then when the one on the list with fewer games and a much cheaper price is ranked higher this is somehow good news...

...and not complete spin.

Here is a bet: PS3 will outsell 360 and WiiU combined.

I refuse to take any bets.  But so far it looks like it's the WiiU version that'll outsell the 360 and PS3.  The game, after all, originated on 3DS, and a lot of WiiU gamers are really hungry for more titles, so....

I think it already having a fan base for the original on the 3DS is kinda key here.

That and RE6 might have left a bad taste in 360/PS3 owner's mouth.

Good news anyhow.

Was RE6 really a bad game for what it was or did it get hate because it didnt stick to the core survival horror genre?

RE hasn't really been GOOD, in my opinion, since Code Veronica on Dreamcast. And it also, consequentlyt, hasn't been "core survival horror" since then either. They eschewed that with 4 onwards, and each subsequent release has been more and more an action/shooter game, with little to no real creepiness or suspense at all. Playing the original RE, bad voice acting and stiff controls aside, was a very unique experience for it's time. RE is not what it once was, and probably never will be again.

Didn't it just do that last week?

(Joking obviously)

It HAS for the past two months, yes.  But those days will soon be numbered.  As DevilRising said, even gamers who are starved for games will take notice at a title and go out and buy it even on a system currently in a slump.  That can only equal good news for WiiU.

At this point it's hard to tell HOW the game will fare in Japan, but with Dragon Quest X coming up, Japanese gamers will start to take notice of the system, and RE actually DOES have a following on Nintendo systems there.  Case in point:  Revelations was a smash on 3DS.  But even RE tends to sell better in Western shores than Eastern ones, so... we'll see.

And don't forget, even with the slumping WiiU sales, Nintendo is still a presence in Japan, and they arguably know how to market the system better there than in America or Europe (just look at their NSMBU commercial and compare that to the US ones).  Nintendo also has games of their own to boost the system there as well, notably Game & Wario, launching just a few days before DQX.
