2. Wii Fit. See Wii Sports.

3. Wii Play. Still amazes me how people think a game like Limbo is 'better' than Wii Play when it clearly isn't. No indie or X-box live/PSN shite has ever come close to Wii Play in gameplay/replayability/value.

4. CoD. Goldeneye started it, MS modded it and Activision prostituted it.

5.Minecraft. LEGO should be shot for not making this 5 years earlier. Videogames are toys after all. (Just ask Will Wright or Sid Meier).

6. Wii Dance aka Just Dance.

Wii Sports, Minecraft and CoD fit.

I'll have to add in Gears of War for cover-shooting.

Wii Sports? Wii Fit? Wii Play? Wii Dance? I wouldn't personally call any of those games of the generation. Nor CoD. I guess if we go by sales then those games would probably win it.

Considering everything has copied it and used in shooters I'd say cover-based shooting was pretty revolutionary game mechanic wise.
