Speaking of cherrypicking...  I like how you were diligent enough to correct for the undertracking in February, while leaving in the overtracking in 2012.  Your figure is 55k higher than the NPD figure.  Per NPD from November-February, the PS3 sold 1058.7k  the Wii U sold 1008k.  Of course the PS3 has one more week in that comparison since it launched earlier, but it is unlikely that the Wii U will sell 50k+ the first week of march.

Did VGChartz not adjust for NPD numbers in 2012? I legitimately didn't know that, wasn't cherrypicking.

They haven't, I'm not really sure what the reason is.  There are a lot of glaring issues with the 2012 numbers all over, even weeks and months after we've received sales and shipment data.

Yeah that's really bugging me actually. We have the confirmed figures, but it just shows neglect and lack of interest that they refuse to change their own numbers which have been proven incorrect.

You're really on the ball, you know.

And people here are actually somewhat pleased by Wii U sales, because they're bad but not as bad as feared.

Also that data looks like it was from last NPD, not this one. The Wii U weekly sales were around 17k this month.

of course its about last NPD, since its talking about its worst avarge weekly sales and last NPD was worse then this one

Indeed. But it just seems odd posting it now when sales were up 40% WoW compared to last month. It would be like me digging up an article to show how the 3DS was going to bomb because of its poor launch. Obviously more exaggurated because the Wii U sales are still poor but you get the idea.

Wait guys the record week is to come yet...

Wii U breaking every [low] record already saw in the console history.

It is, yeah. But this was more a general rant that all consoles (Wii U, PS3, 3DS, 360 etc.) have not been adjusted despite seeing numbers to suggest they need to be, with the latest NPD being the best example of how far off the tracking is thus far.

maybe in the summer but not march. since the WiiU sales grew from last month in feb, its more then likely that they will continue to grow or stay flat, specially since a few games are actually releasing for it this month

The graph is based in the worst NPD avg sales per week (before the new gen coming)... the Jan for Wii U was worst than Feb... so the gaph show this month and not Feb for Wii U.

You know March is a smaller month than Febryary in NPD.

I expect low sales for all consoles.
