As most of you know Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remix is on the way and 2.5 Remix has also been confirmed. Interestingly enough they are being released only on PS3 which is quite rare for a 3rd party game now days.

Obviously Kingdom Hearts 3 will be announced soon as the HD releases have nearly every Kingdom Hearts game ever in them and SE is making sure everyone is caught up. Is the fact that these are Sony exclusives proof Kingdom Hearts 3 will be only on the PS4?

Possibly.

Then again, maybe they're buying time. Obviously they need a lot more time if they have to do HD rerelease after rerelease.

I wouldn't mind Wii U exclusive but I'm done with Square-Enix if it goes on handhelds. D:

Not exactly a confirmation, but it would seem to indicate either PS3 or PS4 exclusivity.

Would be hilarious if it ended up being exclusive to another console, though.

I dont know... i remember being told that sony would never get another kh game on its console and nintendo would be the one with it/

I used to think this would be a for sure multiplat between Next Xbox and PS4 but the fact the HD ports are only on PS3 makes it obvious they currently at least aren't working on expanding the franchise to Xbox players.

To me it sure looks like a good indication that KH3 will only be on PS4

Who even knows if there will be a KH 3? With Disney pushing Infinity, there is more of a chance the game will not be on any platform (as in not exist) than on just the PS4.

And who knows if the PS4 (and NextBox) will sell well -- or how long it will take them to sell well. They might fly off the shelves or they might shrivel. We don't know price points, network requirements for on-line play, or to what degree used games will be able to be played* yet.

(* Yes. Sony said it would be possible to play used games. But the more that comment has been parsed, combined with other comments that follow, have suggested that there might be a limit to use of used games. This might be rumor, MS smoke & mirrors, or fact. Only time will tell.)

I doubt it. Plenty of PS2 HD remakes released only on the PS3. But the next full game usuallly releases on both the PS3 & 360.

I hope so. Don't get me wrong but i don't want another FFXIII case... if you can't release a decent multiplat do it just for one and do it well.
