You should already know that the majority of 3DSes sold after the price was cut, and just like all Nintendo consoles, there is never many preorders, snce the manufacturer tends to keep supply up with overwhelming demand. I can list a dozen friends who didn't preorder and instead waited for a final price on launch day.

As for the Vita, what do you want me to say?

I don't expect you to say anything about it. This is a news article and whatever other items they may be comparing it to, it still is good that the thing is being pre-ordered like this.

But if you want to downplay it some more, go right ahead ;)

The negativity is rampant in Sony threads!!! Please, people, create threads to complain about it!

There's a difference between downplay and shooting an obvious failed article. How about posting something from one of the major retailers (ones that have been around for at least 15 years or so) saying the same thing, instead of a new company that has never experienced any sort of major preorder event? 

I can see what you're trying to do here with a misleading article, and no, it doesn't mean that the PS4 is the most preordered thing in existence. You'll need a lot more proof than a newb company's statement...

It's quite common for retailers to report on software and hardware pre-orders.  Are you calling the retailer a Sony fan?  Or are you a non-Sony fan who cannot stand positive PlayStation news?

Not trying to downplay anything here, but the company is only 7 years old, and only the Wii U and PS4 have been announced/released in that time-frame. Are they including handhelds? Anyone know how big this retailer is?

Still an impressive achievement given the early pre-order numbers so far! I just wanted clarity on my questions to be able to put things into perspective better.

so true.  How dare we even think for a second that something will be successful!  Everything is doomed don't you all see!?  Apple and MS will take over the world with phones and tablets and Kinect!

Trying to win a tiny argument regarding one retailer is kind of pointless and unneccessary. 

You only have to look at what happend with the WiiU, this illustrates the point very well, all retailers were saying "unprecedented pre-orders", "huge numbers" etc etc...  Gamestop apparently had more pre-orders in its stores than were actually sold throughout the US in its opening week? 

As for the UK (shopto territory), I linked a story from CVG in another thread which again shows how unreliable this kind of PR is. 

And, as you can see Shopto did indeed describe WiiU preorders as "phenomemal", Game said "exceeding expectations", they were all very excited..... how did that turn out?

You look like the Wii U have a bad launch but the in truth it have a great launch.

They were also around for the ps3 that had a very successful launch in europe.
