You should have kept your WiiU. Buying a PS3 now is a bit silly since the PS4 will be out in 7 months.

well it doesn't have BC and there's 6-8 PS3 games I'm still planning on getting just this year.

I'd say that was a little hasty of you.

Games are coming, just not yet.

Gotta be patient with Nintendo.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

lost plenty of cash on a great system and traded it for a ps3 when ps4 comes later this year?  /facepalm

Short term you'll be able to play a whole lot more for a whole lot less, so it makes a lot of sense.

In a couple years when WiiU's library has filled out you might regret it, but you can always rebuy one then if that is the case.

What you did wasn't very wise. I've thought about trading mine in before but not for 200 dollars. If I could return it and get all my money back I might consider it since there is nothing to play right now. But i'd of course have to rebuy one once the games start to arrive. I'm confident that within the calander year there will be atleast 3 if not more big must play games. Pikmin 3, Zelda Wind Waker HD, and Mario Kart or 3d Mario or both. By this Christmas you're really going to regret what you did especially since you only got a paltry 200 dollars for it which you used for what??  A console which will only have 2 more good games released on it??

well if you didn't want to play your WiiU and wanted the trade in value then I guess it's not wasted, not everyone is rich enough to roll with everything,

getting PS+ for a year is good enough to be going on with I reckon, plenty of stuff on there and you can always buy the next edition WiiU,whatever they decide to do when it has more of what you want

If only more people could be like you. How gamers can tolerate game droughts is beyond me. That is unacceptable. Nintendo completely fucked up the Wii U launch. There is no momentum.

But look at how Vita rebounded the past 2 weeks in Japan. Price cut + games is all it takes. It doesn't even need to be huge AAA IP. So as of right now, you are teaching Nintendo a lesson for treating you horribly. It's up to them to get you to rebuy the system.

Huge mistake. Massive, gargantuan, epic, large, gigantic mistake IMO. Mathematically you already lost over $200 on the transaction (between games and console) and will just have to re-buy the system and lose more money (compared to just keeping the system) when the heavy hitters come out. If not, you'll miss out on 3d Mario, Smash, Zelda, X, Pikmin, Yoshi, and any other Nintendo exclusives that will undoubtedly come out.

You could just as easily have picked up a used PS3 and some used games to hold yourself over until games start flowing to the U... it's a new system, it needs time to build a game library.

if you didn't already play many ps3 games (maybe multiplat on 360 or so) it wasn't too bad. i mean, you have a lot of awesome games to play now from the last 7 years and most should be very cheap now.

i just hope you aren't such a big nintendo games fan that it will "hurt" you when you will see other people talking about how great pikmin or whatever is.

definitivly no mistake

Instead of playing zero games on the wii u in the next 6 -8 month
you can play now dozens of great games for little money.
Uncharted and MGS or Infamous and lbp are great and pretty cheap, all the hd collections(ratchet, sly, mgs) are even cheaper(3games for 15-30bucks) and ps+ is very cheap and offers lots of games. The last of us and beyond=two great games to comeAnd you have a blu ray player now.(and gta,rdr etc etc etc)
You won't have time to regret while playing all these games.

And you won't lose money-at the end of the year there will be a Wii U pricecut and you may buy a used Wii U for less than 200dollars if you want to buy one again.
