I guess now people on other system will understand why Uncharted is so loved among PlayStation Fans

People on the other platform already have Gears, which plays more like Uncharted than the new Tomb Raider ever does.

Gonna be interesting to see how this breaks down into PS3/360.

Given the amount of adverts I'm seeing on UK TV at the moment (at least one per ad break), it's unsurprising. But I'm pleased. Crystal Dynamics are a good studio and Tomb Raider needed reviving, and it seems they managed exactly that.

Wow Didnt know Gears was action-adventure platformer. I m not saying the new Tomb Raider is a bad game, its just that people who have already played Uncharted Trilogy will have a lot of Deja Vu' moments in the game. New players who havent played UC before will be blown away with the innovation which TR brings to the table. And I wouldnt surprised if people would start calling the next Uncharted a Tomb Raider ripoff, but in reality it will be the same mechanics as previous three uncharted games.

This. 500K is a best case scenario. Mostly artificial hype, the same that didn't work out for DmC.

Funny, I have played that trilogy and I am not experiencing any deja vu. Since when did Uncharted have actual exploring, open world elements, or survival elements? Since when did Uncharted drop the Gears/CoD style corridor maze with wave after wave of mindless enemies for the tense encounters you have in TR? I must have missed that Uncharted game.

And, as I've said before, Tomb Raider Legend (2006) and Drake's Fortune (2008) share nearly identical control layouts (with a little Gears thrown in). Just saying. It seems like Lara Croft and Nathan Drake borrow from each other whenever convenient.

As a gamer and a fan of both series, I'm fine with that.

Yeah I'm barely getting any Uncharted vibe from the game.

In my opinion it's a fair bit better than Uncharted (at least 1 and 2 as I haven't played 3 yet).

Pros:
Much longer
semi open world
lots of optional challenges/tombs
better enemy encounters
(female character)
better shooting controls

Cons:
less weapons
multiplayer supposed to be worse (haven't tried it but I'll gladly believe it)
worse side characters

The scripted events are pretty similar; Tomb Raider is obviously more serious than Uncharted; platforming is IMO slightly better done in Tomb Raider but still pretty similar. There should be more puzzles in both games. Visually both are incredible.

OT: Well deserved and hopefully no end in sight.

I loved the Tomb Radier game, and didn't like Uncharted.

BAWS!

Unfortunately this game is going to have to wait, for GOW comes out next week and games here are 75$

the power of reviews is strong in this one. Why people change so much their opinion just because the OPINION OF OTHERS?? I really don't get it.
