Contrary, because he's new it makes it feel more genuine. Like he doesn't have fear of any consequences from what he says. On the other hand a newb scum would be more cautious as not to disappoint their team mates. At least, that's how I feel newcomers behave.

I'm happy with the miller claim - it was claimed early and outright, so it's probably genuine. I agree with your reasoning for a policy lynch, but only because that's normally my reason for a no-lynch. No player can truly be a "liability" in my opinion. I will make my standard day 1 vote now, but I don't want the day to end yet - although really long Day 1s are terrible, a really short one is useless.
