I wouldn't say that the Atari Jaguar was the ugliest, nor would I say they PS3 was the prettiest, but the coolest looking console goes to the Panasonic Q.  I use to have one of these to go along with my 300+ Gamecube game collection.  I really miss that thing...

Pretties: DS Lite. It's still the best looking handheld Nintendo has ever produced. I can't believe the 3DS is so ugly compared to it.
Other nice looking consoles: DSi, Gameboy Micro, PSP Go, Dreamcast, Wii, Wii U, PS3 Slim.

Ugliest: Gameboy Advance in purple

Other ugly consoles: PS2 Phat, 3DS XL, DS Phat.

Also, the prettiest controller is the Wiimote and the ugliest one the Gamecube controller.

You shouldn't be surprised. It is the only console that screams out saying play me I am now in 3D. 

I still think the prettiest console ever designed is the original White Xbox 360 with a hard drive. Just looks a little naked without the hard drive.

The reverse tapered curves, the color, the lines.  The way it lights up with the little circle of light moving around, the ports for memory and the infa red monitor.  I think it is a work of art!

The ugliest would probably be Super Pong IV. So many things had fake wood panel look in the 1970's. You could even buy contact paper that was fake wood panel looking. And yes, I remember seeing where someone had put it on their station wagon (the fake wood contact paper!)

Ugliest: Xbox... everything about it is ugly, from the giant X shape to the original gorilla-sized controller.

Prettiest: N64 / 360 Slim. The N64 looked so sleek during its time with its curves, it looked like it was getting ready to take off. And the 360 slim is easily the prettiest of this gen.

ps vita is the sexiest thing ever made and sells like shit
ps2 is the ugliest thing ever made and becomes best selling console

It looks so uneven! the OCD in me makes me want to fixed it!
